Montauk17 07-13-2011 01:35 PM

Hard to tell from the pics, but the new curado looks bulkier compared to the previous model. For 40 bucks more I see shimano selling alot more chonarchs. Sweet looking reel too.

SaltERedneck 07-13-2011 01:37 PM

All I can say is I know who's will have a new chrony next week, THIS GUY!!

evis102 07-13-2011 07:53 PM

I just ordered 2 Chrony 100d7s after seeing the new ones. I think they will hold up way better in the long run. I will try a Chrony 50 for wade fishing

Damn! Nothing but the split grips for shimano now!

SaltyShaw 07-14-2011 12:01 AM

That Shimano Sellus would fit a new chrony perfectly but seems like a pretty poo quality rod :(

Salty 07-14-2011 12:33 AM

Only difference in the new Chronarchs and the D series is graphite side plates and the color. Same gears, same bearings and same weight.

The Curado G series is over a half ounce lighter than the E series. That might be because it has fewer bearings.
