Used to play 3-4 times a week until this genius friend of mine introduced me to fishing. Now on the weekend, good golfing weather means good fishin weather

Golf really isn't gay. Prettty fun.

I'd much prefer holding a check on stage for winning a fishing tourney than a golf tourney

joshdomingue 07-17-2011 10:07 AM

BayBolt23 07-17-2011 10:09 AM

Yeah I was just messin wit Calcutta

Zachary Boy 07-17-2011 10:20 AM

I just took the game back up after a 10 year layoff. I would love to see a SC Tourny. I'm glued to the TV now cheering my boy Phil Mickleson on at the British Open. Go get em Lefty...

Keith_Stone 07-17-2011 10:26 AM

Tournament sounds cool to me, can make it a scramble tournament to try and even things out.

southern151 07-17-2011 10:56 AM

I'll keep the beer disappearing and drive someone around in a cart! That's the extent of my golf expertise!

Super Spook 07-17-2011 11:50 AM

My ole man always said golf is for people that can't catch or kill anything. I know that's not necessarily true, but I never found time between hunting and fishing. I am watching the British open right now though.

outcast 07-17-2011 12:00 PM

Im a hockey player but im playing golf today

PUREBAY2200 07-17-2011 12:16 PM

A 3-4 man scramble would b a great way to set it up!!

Dink 07-17-2011 01:20 PM

Ball golf or disc golf?? Either way, y'all want none of this!!

jchief 07-17-2011 01:34 PM

Sounds like someone needs to find a place and a date.

huntin fool 07-17-2011 01:36 PM

National Golf Course in Westlake, LA!

Dink 07-17-2011 02:15 PM

Somewhere centrally located.

I only play once a year or so, but I always win......my friends will only get 80 points a game and I always get way more than 100!! Not sure how tho, they seem to hit it better than me........

PUREBAY2200 07-17-2011 02:25 PM

Who has nicer course/ best price??
Laffy or lake Charles??
We got some good ones over here.....but I know it makes more sence to play on west side of state.

jchief 07-17-2011 02:31 PM

The one Brayden suggested is highly rated if I am not mistaken. Or could go to Cypress Bend on Toledo for a weekend!

Cypress would be fun...fishing/golf tourny. Westlake course....can't even stick a 9 iron from 140 w/o it bouncing 10ft in the air off the green. (They still need more time) I say play it at Mallard at least....might be able to get us set up at lauberge...I'll have to make a call.

calcutta37 07-17-2011 04:55 PM

gray plantation is a nice course we could play there the thursday or friday before the salty cajun fishing tournament.
IT WILL BE COOLER THEN I HOPE..

Lauberge would be a good choice. The course is alot easier to play than the National and it would not be that hard to set something up if they have enough notice. If not then Graywood is another possibility.

I will not be able to play on those dates I leave the wed. before to head back offshore. After this Wed. I will be on vacation for three weeks it would have to be during that time or the week after 8/8 for me to be able to make it.

calcutta37 07-17-2011 05:05 PM

Keith_Stone 07-17-2011 06:40 PM

Only bad thing about weekends, we will need quiet a few peole to play to set up a tournament and it would be hard to just book regular tee times on a weekend if it is only a few people playing. Most of the courses will only book a few days in advance and it would be hard to get all the tee times back to back but if we have enogh people we can try that, weekday are just easier to set up.

Big Kahunaz 07-17-2011 09:13 PM

True...well count me out. =-P
