It'll cost $20 to find out and another $50 to get in. That may be your only way of runnin' this thread.

Savagespec619 07-17-2011 06:01 PM

whats the big deal about running this thread?

SaltyShaw 07-17-2011 06:07 PM

Are you serious?

Just get a Haynie and call it a day

Salty 07-17-2011 06:08 PM

If you wanna coNpare these boats...type in "Haynie" in the "Search" box and you'll find everything you need to know. That is...if the threads ain't all in the Gill Net.

X2

ckinchen 07-17-2011 06:16 PM

They are both very good boats, I think you would be happy with either boat. I know people with both. If you want a 24 foot version your only choice of the two will be the Haynie. I'm not a big fan of Haynie from an offshore perspective but other than that, I have no complaints. For fishing Big Lake I prefer a Haynie but either boat would be fine.

$6 per month or $50 per year, if you buy in for a full year you will get $300 of SC cash.

I am a BlackJack owner so I have the right to chime in here. They are very different boats. You must ride in them both AND fish in them both in rocking water. For the ride in choppy water where you want to fly the Haynie has the edge. If you don't like rocking while fishing in choppy water the BlackJack wins. Haynie is faster as it is lighter. But I lovey BlackJack!

As a Haynie owner I would say good post...

weedeater 07-17-2011 07:18 PM

how does Hewes boats score in this line boats, the 21' redfish model looks pretty nice

"W" 07-17-2011 07:32 PM

Hayine boat is more stealth for fishing...less slap and will catch more fish with out spooking them

noodle creek 07-17-2011 07:39 PM

haynie h.o. cheaper. 2 extra feet. build it how you want. rides better than any other boat out there for half the price of a lot of them

I dont think a Hewes 21 redfisher compares to these two boats as far as styles go. Black jack & haynie is bay boats, and Hewes more of a flats boat.

Hewes boats are bad arse! Buddy had one and with a 225 vmax it hit mid 60s. It will eat chop, but if your looking for a 21ft class style flats boats you may need to ride a lake and bay boca. Tourney friend runs one with a sho and hits low 80's.

I wouldn't agree with that. A 24 HO Haynie will cost just as much as a 22 Blackjack. But you do get 2 extra feet.

Haynie - built for speed. No thrills fishing boat.

Blackjack - full fit & finish type boat. clean.

Both roomy and quick and comfortable.

Can't go wrong with either.

BayBolt23 07-18-2011 12:39 PM

Well stated Drost

The 24HO is a wonderful rough water boat, that'll haul the mail on a slick lake. The interior is built exactly how I wanted it configured, as well as, choice of consoles, seats, livewells, etc. That being said, it might not be designed for the next Haynie owner. EX: W has a fishbox built into his front deck, and ChemMan gets livewells in front of the console on his. I don't want either of these features, but it works for them, as mine for me. That's the beauty of these boats. Check out as many as you can, and call Chris's to talk to them. I'm sure any of us would be glad to take you for a demo.
