That is a work boat turned into a fishing rig....that cost some money.... Has 4 engines in it...holds 2000 gals of diesel.. Who ever owns that boat is rich

We have a speed/work boat in our shallow area just like that

Big Flounder 07-17-2011 09:32 PM

I went on a boat like that out of Panama City one time with my dad and brothers. They had numbers on the side rails all around the boat and when you got on the boat they told you what your number would be when we got to the fishing hole. When we got there you got by your number and they handed you a baited line and you just dropped it in the water and waited for a bite. When you got that bite you yelled fish on and they came by, took the fish off, and rebaited it. Boat looked just like that. There was about 30 numbers on it.

"W" 07-17-2011 09:36 PM

Its a LA boat...I looked at it to make sure......We do have to check fire hose every month....

Top Dawg 07-17-2011 09:37 PM

booyagasha 07-18-2011 06:02 AM

whats yalls take on their limiits? they carry commercial licenses, so yup, catch til your arms fall off. i've read that charter operations like this (from texas--sorry ckinchen) and florida were being ran off when they tried to dock in venice/fourchon. i thnk they hurt the local charters big time too. never been on one, this is just what i've read. kind of like the walmart of charter fishing maybe?

ontheg2m 07-18-2011 09:30 AM

Im originally from Panama City and the boats you are refering too are party boats you can go half day or hole day or just charter the whole boat if your party is big enough they have to abide by the same regulations as we do now at one time they didnt. the reason they register commercial is so thier customers dont have to buy fishing licenes. I had my boat registerd the same way that way my friends from out of state didnt have to buy a license,

Ray 07-18-2011 09:34 AM

Them kinda boats have some great night fishing trips too.

downsouth 07-24-2011 05:41 PM

That boat parks behind the Port Comission in Fourchon. I seen it today. I don't know who owns the boat but they worked on it for about 4yrs in the bayou in Golden meadow. They took their sweet ole time on it.. The name of it is the C-Quest

fishinpox 07-24-2011 08:00 PM

No ....mother lode

Is it October Yet 07-24-2011 08:04 PM

What does something like that run Pox? How many people at one time? I should be single by then.

fishinpox 07-24-2011 08:21 PM

Depends, how long yer out and how far u run. It's a 50' sportfisher with beds shower tv playstation ect. When we go we have him take it slow out the (10-12knots) to cut back on gas expense, also my buddy Josh worked on that boat as a 1st mate for 10 years so he will deckhand when we go . I know what we pay but it's not really fair to say it cuz it a friend hookup. I think 36hr trips start at 3500-4200. Or last trip was cut short because we ran out of places to store the tuna! We came home with around 800lbs of yft steaks

SpeckJackin4Life 10-20-2012 02:32 PM

Man thats a lot sushi!

swglenn 10-21-2012 09:30 AM

The Seacor Conquest was an offshore supply vessel that is now listed in Limited Coastwise Under Charter to Citizen Fishing registry. It is 186' long and 46' wide. It is owned by OFS Marine One, Inc c/o Seacor Marine in Houma, La. The draft is 17' so it probably won't make a good marsh boat.

There is a crew boat converted to a personal boat at the sand dollar in GI. It's got a 24-26ft offshore boat up on the deck with cranes to lift it down. Ultimate in mother shipping right there.
