noodle creek 08-05-2011 09:49 PM

seen skitterwalk win vs all other topwaters time and again. one day this year we didn't expect to catch them on topwater and had 2 skitterwalks and a top dog jr. 42 on skitterwalks and 3 on top dog. will never throw a mirrolure again.

noodle creek 08-05-2011 09:51 PM

Topwater

Okay guys I'm new to SC, but I have to say the Mirrolure She-Dawg
with chartreuse belly and back with pearl sides is the only one I throw any more. I have seen that lure catch 3-1 against any brand or color topwater. So that made it easy for me, that's the only color topwater I keep in my boat.

He forgets to mention bout me putting the hurt on him w the bone superspook.

ElectricChicken 08-09-2011 07:03 AM

Jadams, No comment. I am not getting in the middle of that! Seriously, I really appreciate the time each of you took to share your thoughts on this. I am sure there are others who have not done as much trout fishing that appreciate not having to learn everything through trial and error. Obviously profienciency with any bait has a lot to do with the guy throwing it and also throwing it around fish which requires a guy putting himself in an area with fish. It is clear that there are a lot of you that do both of those things well. May a ten pound trout blow your favorite topwater plum out the water, then come back and swallow it!

SaltyShaw 08-09-2011 07:25 AM

that would be nice lol

ElectricChicken 08-09-2011 09:26 AM

SaltyShaw - Just got my Baby Trout Skitter - They in a bind now!

SaltyShaw 08-09-2011 10:15 AM

trophytroutman 08-09-2011 10:00 PM

Baby trout skitterwalk.

Jadams 08-09-2011 10:49 PM

biggest thing i think w topwater is ur confidence level and color throw whatever ur confident in

"W" 08-09-2011 11:12 PM

You only need 2 colors for topwater

White(bone) or Black..(Or a darker color)

Skitterwalk in fairly calm waters

Super spook(one knocker) and she dog in chop and rough waters...

Works for me...

I'll holster it, older one. ;)

ElectricChicken 08-10-2011 08:58 AM

Jadams, I agree totally about the confidence and obviously confidence is built through success. "W" godd advice. You only get to chose one bait- which one is it, day in and day out?
