LapTop help
I have a dell Inspiron 1520, that when I plug it in to charge, it won't charge. So it's now completely dead. Kinda need the laptop due to the # of pictures I have on there, and for homework.
Any problem solving soluions? |
You need a Hammer !
Check to see if battery is connected to laptop properly . Battery may be shot or charger may be. |
charger may be da prob go to radio shack and gets a new one.
|
Go tell Brett to cough up a $100 & get it fixed ;)
|
the laptop should work without the battery in, try that ..if it still doesnt work, your charger is borked. NEVER EVER leave the charger plugged in with the battery fully charged, will overcharge and bork your battery in the long run. If you always leave it plugged in, take the battery out to save the longevity of it

Bring it by the house tomorrow around 4pm. I have a few chargers we can try. If you pull the battery out and it still not power up with the ac cord it is either the charger or the motherboard.

Also, my charger usually lights up when it's charging, it hasn't been lighting up..

You can get Dell chargers or aftermarket chargers for a good price, I work for a computer service company and this is who I order from. |
Try taking the battery out and unplug the cord. Then hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds. Then plug the cord back in without the battery. See if the power led is lit (may take a few minutes so let it sit). If so then try to turn on the laptop. If not it probably is either you cord or the motherboard.

quit spilling Jergens on the power cord and you'll be fine!
:D :rotfl: :p |
