Rain
Well Guys!
What do you all think about potential 20" of rain. I hope for as little as possible. There goes all the teal that are here now. And that much rain will really hurt the fall trout fishing in Vermilion Bay. The LAke Charles area will be OK. 4-6" will be great. But 15-20' like they are predicting SUCCKKKKKKS!!!!! I hope this thing goes further to the east. Biggun |

I can't tell you the last time we've been below 100 for a high or seen more than a few drops of rain in Houston. I've never seen anything like it in my 30+ years in H-town. |
I doubt we will get that much rain, forecasters have been way off before. Last night they were saying it would make landfall saturday eve. Now they pushed it back till monday.

get out of henderson! lol This is near the time of year when me and a buddy boated some nice 5+ pound fish, so I figured with the low pressure the big girls should be acting up again. Plus nothing beats a frog bite |

only been to Lake Martin once, I mainly bream fished and my dad had about a 6lb bass eat his bream while reeling it in! Pretty cool, only time i've seen that. Looks like a place that would hold some nice fish, similar to millers lake just smaller |

lol!!!!!!!!!!!! My little girl does the same thing i bought her a dr-85 for her birthday last year, and when i watch rntv she runs to her room to get it and blows that thing until the show ends. I talked to my wifes uncle today and he said we got about 2 inches of water now in mermentau cove and if we get rain like they think we gonna get it will be on out there. He said the thibideaux farms is full of teal right now and his place is not far from there. I talked to my father-n-law today and he said the water is already high so i'm gonna hunt at my wifes uncles place opening morning. I'll let you know this weekend about the monday of opening week we gonna hunt somewhere. |

I don't want any rain just yet. The only fields that have water have to be pumped, and that means someone is huntin there. If we get 6 inches now every set aside and cow pasture will hold a few teal with no one to move them, I hunt the marsh and when they start banging in the fields they get thicker in the marsh. We always kill better on Sun. than Sat.. Let the rain come in Oct.
