Thats what I call a face lift
That skiff is gonna fly now!!
Man, me..inchspinner..and lake chuck duck saw a carolina skiff thay looked like it was about to fly away the morning of the tournament. Nice upgrade
i used to go 42mph with the '96 90hp. can't wait to see what this one does!!
if the weather would break, i would be able to see what this thing can do!!! |
Thats a good way to fix a busted Hatsu' ...
Nice repair....
Big weight difference, hopefully you don't need trim tabs. Should get 50mph or more out of it.
that thing should get up!!!
good fix!
That'll fix the problem
the weight difference is about 80lbs, if i looked it up rite, and i have angled blocks epoxied on the bottom at the rear. if anything i think that i may have to put a fin on the motor..... i think!!
Motor looks too low....is it mounted on the last bolt hole? Your cavitation plate needs to be even with the bottom of the boat when trimed level. Just trying to help you save some headache.
its on the second hole. i checked and the plate it even with the bottom of the boat. thanks for the info though
dang i gotta get this thing in the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Them crabbers can do 50 mph with a 150 Yamaha on them 24 ft. Carolina Skiffs, loaded with crab and equip.
That oughta haul butt. |
well i finally put it in the water. ran it for about an hour with a top GPS speed of 36.7!!!
what is wrong???? with it in the corner, i'm turning about 5800rpm's. when i have the throttle in 3/4 position, it is topped out.then i stick it all the way and nothing happens. i called Landry's and left a message, hopefully he will get it rite for me??!!?? |
What size prop? I got 42 wot on my old 115 on a 20 cc xpress
I don't know it's the prop that came with the motor. they said that it was the one that was on the motor when the got it in.
Call power tech props tomorrow , give them the motor type, hull type, mph @wot & Rpm they will set u up perfect
thanks "pox" that will be my first call
just dropped it off at landry's. he said he will run it though the paces and let me know.
my fingers are crossed!! |
Well all the bugs are out and the prop is rite! It runs great and tops out at 42mph with hardly no fuel being burned!
I like it alot!! |
Glad ya got it worked out!
what did you do with the 90?
I gave it to Landry's outboard I'm exchange for the mounting and all new gauges.
ethonal??
how important is it to stay away from the 10% ethonal gas, and does the fuel tratment take care of the problems that may accor from the ethonal gas??
