Texas hunters

How many guys we have on here that hunt Texas and what areas do yall hunt? I hunt a family lease out between Sonora and San Angelo and we do pretty good but I have hunted Sonora, Brady, Harper and a few other areas and we may let our place go in a few yrs and some of us get something smaller and we are thinking of going South Texas next.

I hunted Llano county for years and always had a great time!! I have a lease in Clarksville I haven't been to yet.

The lease we used to go on about 12 years ago was completely burned out when the wildfires went through the possum kingdom area.

Naw, I looked it up on a map but was not sure it was where I thought. Me and my cousin are thinking of trying down around Canyon Lake, Falcon or Amistad so we could hunt and fish:smokin:

I have hunted all over TX and have never found a lease in S. Texas for less than $4500 a gun. Most are $5000 and higher. Hill country can still get one for around $2000 and up. High fence, like mine, will start around 3500 and up.

ScubaLatt 09-15-2011 10:54 PM

Oh by the way, I hunt in San Saba county. Just north of Llano and about 1:45 from Austin. One of my favorite counties. I loved my ranch near Menard, TX but truly love San Saba county. Have hunted San Angelo, Uvalde, Brady, Eden, Mason, Junction, Sonora, Mountain home, George West, Freer, Cotula, Encinal, Bracketville, and Bandera areas. All awesome places and loved each and every place I hunted.
