Fished Prien this morning starting around 7:30. Caught a couple of trout until the wind started howling out of NW. Was in a small flat so headed into the marsh to get out of the wind and caught fish all day until the tide/wind pushed all the water out the marsh. Caught on Spinner baits and several plastic shrimp baits.

lost the gar while trying to get it on the bank. Caught it soaking a live mullet on my lunch break eating a sandwhich and drinking a cold beer while watching the rods in the holders.

Went so far north I was actually throwing a fluke to see if any bass were in the area and picked up a couple small trout and a redfish. I know where to start looking on the next trip.

You can go up to Sam Houston state park right now and catch reds. This time of year is prime back around the salt water barrier by the old ice house
