Anyone draw any blood today? Was on bayoubucks.com they have a member on there that killed a monster at Sherbourne WMA. Good luck to all this season.

Not me, but i sure did shed some tears having to be at work instead somewhere outdoors enjoying this weather.

I know that guy that shot that monster on Sherbune. I thought it was Thisawhaite but I may be wrong. His name is Nick Thibodeaux. Beautiful 9 point in velvet. Said they scored it at 160"+. I would say about 140-145 though. I just sat down in my climber. Didnt hunt this morning. Buddy with me said he jumped a nice buck on his way into his spot.

Stayed home this weekend but making the haul to north louisiana next weekend. That is one awesome buck!

Where abouts? I'll be headed up to the lease in Sikes on Thursday.

We got a least in quitman,la....just north of jonesboro by caney lake.

Oh ok, that's not very far from us. Well Caney isn't anyway.

Sitting in a tree right now, haven't seen anything yet today while hunting but saw a few while riding around between hunts.

Just had a small 4 point in velvet come on me. Let him walk. Didn't stay for long.

Bucks always look bigger when they are in velvet but that is no baby. Id say hes in the 150's but he may go 160. Its hard to say from a picture. Very nice buck!!

Best part is it was on public land.

No doubt....best time to hunt public is during bow season.

My brother-in-law was telling me about the one in Sherbune. He said he checked it out when he was headed out this morning. Says it was a monster. He didnt have any luck though. I would have killed to be out there this morning, but we all know how that goes now and then. Good luck to the rest of you guys this season. Primitive opens up at the lease next week end. Might have to try my luck and see what I can come out with!

Primitive is next weekend for us. I'm ready! 45-70 dropping some horns

Made 2 bow hunts on our lease by Dequincy and aint seen nothing. Lots of deer on cameras at night.

Yea, me nothing here yet either. The rut is due to start near the end of this month into November though.

Enjoy every moment you have in the woods. I had to have back surgery so I can't hunt until ;anuary if I'm luck. May not be able to go at all. There is nothing in the world I enjoy more than being in the woods. My 5 year old is begging me to put him on a deer. I may have to go against doctors orders and take him in a box stand and see what happens. No way I'm not going to hunt. Until then post up your hunts guy so I can live through each of you. I don't care if you kill or not just post your experiences. Good luck to all!!!

Ive seen deer over 200'' but like i said its hard to judge from a picture. I have a 142'' 8point on my wall and in the pictures we took when i killed him some people were guessin him at 160-170!!! LOL!! Now that i look at him again i agree with you calcutta. Hes not close to 160. But still a hell of a buck!!!

Seen like hooper said 200" deer but i wasn't going to be the one who ruined this thread with calling them out. Probably a 145 ish. My buddy is at Golden Meadow Whitetails.. they got some brutes there...

Burnt em down pretty good this weekend considering the wind and the thickness of the under brush. Did see two deer yesterday mornin and one deer this mornin. Had a buck walk up about 10 yards to me before he smelled da rat. Coulda smoked him.

we fished up there saturday and seen some hunters and heard shots, what area was yall hunting and how bad was it to get around as far as it being thick because I want to take my grandpa Thursday
