That's what I thought but most overdraws are protected.

Make somethin idiot-proof and they design a better idiot?

For sure arrow is too short. That would be impossible on a standard rest and properly sized arrow. Regardless, it had to hurt! Wonder is he had to drive himself to the hospital?! Lol

CajunSaint 10-12-2011 08:29 PM

I saw that pic a couple years ago. Still nasty.

Montauk17 10-12-2011 08:49 PM

Arrow was too short is my guess, fell off the rest and hit the release.

LPfishnTIM 10-12-2011 08:56 PM

at least he didn't have a broad head on the end! that would of left a bigger wound!

Haha that's right. "Catch us if you can."

iron man 10-12-2011 11:00 PM

Seen a few pictures where the arrow snapped in half and went through the hand and stuck into the bow.

Feesherman 10-13-2011 12:55 AM

Word he was shopping new bows at Cabela's or Bass Pro and one of the sales kids gave him a bow to draw and just grabbed an arrow. Arrow was too short, fell off the rest and he run it through his hand and sewd the bow to himself. Now, this may be a clever way to get a free bow. "Hey man, now that I can't turn loose of this bow, I am going to have to go to the hospital. See you later" And just never return with the bow.

I know a guy who shot the end of his pointer finger off while shooting at a deer. Got excited & had his finger pointing up & whack!

Zachary Boy 10-13-2011 09:32 AM

Some arrows are not designed for the new , high speed bows they are coming out with. They will come apart at release. There is also a problem when people shoot a bunch of arrows in a tight group trying to impress their buddies. Any scrathes or knicks on the shaft can cause the arrow shaft to 'fail' on release. There is a reason they put 5 spots on most targets so that you can shoot a different spot on each shot.
