More...more!! While me and my son were waiting on the bus this morning we heard specks over the house!! My boy, who is eight, said "You hear that Daddy? I know what that means. " I told him, "Yep son it is getting close".

Ihunt both Sabine and Lacassine. I enjoy Sabine by far. I am always on edge when I go to Lacassine. They are some real A-holes out there. Plus I don't know it as well. I have been hunting Sabine for almost 10 years and have never not killed. You just got to learn the birds there.

Put my time in at sabine for years also... just got to be too much to deal with. more work then fun.

Been hunting Sabine since the age of 16, so I can relate to Sulphite's comment. Had some really good hunts there. The saltwater intrusion, via Hurricane Rita was the death of the quality of that refuge. In my opinion anyway. Sure someone will flash a report or two about some mallards and pintails. I can guarantee that the Mallards aren't as plentiful as they were pre- Hurricane Rita. |

Have a grandbaby due on December the 6th............but I sure would consider it.
Just let me know the dates.....it's about a ten hour drive. The hunting is EASY! you just walk into field ponds/tanks/lakes..... sweet for sure |

What y'all should do is start in Canada and hunt them birds in every state till you get home. Then you would get your fix. Lol not all 50 states but from Canada straight down to LA.
