FYI

:pissed:Slid by Academy at lunch to buy Hayden a yout shotgun, saw Sulphite shoplifting while waiting for my paperwork. I checked off the wrong box and killed my chance to purchase a firearm for one month. No do over or white out per the salesman on FFL paperwork. Guess I should have taken my time on all the boxes instead of getting into such a hurry at lunch.

Taking wife this evening and hope she can pass the background check to purchase under her name.:smokin:

SULPHITE 11-09-2011 03:38 PM

LOL! Thats why I wear big jackets...in all honesty what a crock of crap...federal bureaucracy at its best.

Finfeatherfur 11-09-2011 03:39 PM

That just burns my ***! We do something like that and get flagged, but Fox news aired the hearing of our leader in law enforcement Eric Holder and the scum bad didn't even have the gonads to call the family of the officer that was killed in "The Fast & Furious" scandal. For those of you not aware, the ATF, in all it's glory, had the bright idea to release guns to known felons to track them across the border. This happened even after ligitimate gun dealers called to report them!

Raymond 11-09-2011 03:44 PM

Let's try to keep this in the main forums guys for all to see and Learn.
I almost felt like a criminal walking out the store.

Lake Chuck Duck 11-09-2011 03:52 PM

What box was it exactly that you checked wrong?

Ray 11-09-2011 03:53 PM

Are you a convicted felon? If so, check here:

Raymond 11-09-2011 04:07 PM

Question #1. Are you the transferee,(buyer, purchaser)
Will admit I should have had my glasses on and my reading comprehension is not the best. Brain Fart on my behalf but 30 days before I can do it again???

Come On Man!!

Lake Chuck Duck 11-09-2011 04:12 PM

He also said he was too old for "Soap on a Rope".:rotfl:

This makes no "cents". Sounds like a BS technicality to me. Doin what they can to make a workin man's life difficult.

Actuall they probably saw you come in with that high and tight hair do and thought you about to go postal on some people!

specktator 11-09-2011 04:50 PM

First question, answer yes. The rest of them, no. dumb they didn't just let you fill out another one.

all star rod 11-09-2011 07:32 PM

back in sept when I bought my benelli I accidentlly checked off the wrong block in box #1.....lucky I caught it. from what I was told from the gun sales guy at cabelas they cannot help you answer or give you a second chance if you turn in the signed form to them...

Capt.B 11-09-2011 07:45 PM

went to gator guns to buy my Benelli and the salesman couldn't shut up while I was filling out paper work....I missed the section to put down my SSN....they ran my paper work...and the rude a-s-s lil bi-t-h behind the counter says "your on hold:rolleyes:" "next time you might want to submit your SSN!!"....sounds like procedure in gun sales to be the least helpful as possible....:shaking:

CajunSaint 11-09-2011 09:11 PM

The thugs don't have to fill out any paperwork !
I just purchased my 12 yr old a youth model 243 took 3hrs to get the OK????
I could have looked in the Q/Q quicker.

Sounds to me you had a bad experience @ Gator...I bought there 3 months ago and found them to be real helpful. They even checked over paperwork to make sure all went well.Any gun dealer will not sell you a gun if app, is flagged cause not filled out correctly. Dont blame dealer for your mistake....

Raymond, I have a youth remington 20 gauge pump that you are welcome to borrow

cajunforeman 11-10-2011 12:38 PM

I'll never step foot in gator guns again. They were some of the rudest people I have attempted to do business with.
