Nothing like a good line of powder to get you pumped to run across the marsh..
Makes me take off running in dat water.. Beat my lab out of the blind this morning I was so quick. lol

joshdomingue 11-22-2011 01:04 PM

Duck blind usually consists of bloody mary's and miller lite. Maybe some honey roasted cashews when I find em in my jacket pocket.

jchief 11-22-2011 01:08 PM

granola bars, cheese crackers

Finfeatherfur 11-22-2011 01:09 PM

Now, that I am older.......I don't pack none of that crap, just a bottle of water. I have come to realize I would rather shoot a pig, or tie one up, than sit in a deer stand. I have more fun riding the lease dropping everyone off and getting them set up, then going check traps, then dropping back at the camp to refreshen the cocktail. I am no longer mad a deer that I sit there for hours on end waiting/hoping one shows himself. I dropped the wife off at her stand this past Saturday afternoon, went back to the camp to stir the pot, fixed another drink, then went to a stand which was really close. I was more interested in ESPN and football. Climbed up the ladder at 4pm, had 2 little ones walk out 10 yards from me at 4:20. Watched them for and hour, then got down at dark and went back to the camp to resume cooking and LSU.

I use to pack everything but the pantry when I hunted for hours or most of the day. Now, if I have one of the kids w/ me I'll bring some monkey ******s and little debbies, but that's about it.

evidrine 11-22-2011 01:28 PM

bottle of water and jerky. thats about all.

RODBENDER 11-22-2011 01:43 PM

I try and bring as little as possible! Cause it makes me sleepy. Usually something to keep me awake like red bull or Monster. I pre-open them and put themin a plastic bottle in the lil kooler. Maybe some beef jerky from Love's truck stop (IT IS AWESOME)!

Not to hy-jack Dink's thread........

Speaking of jerky - there was a little place in Lake Arthur on 26, Citgo station if I can think that far back. They had the best turkey jerky around. Is that place still open????

Yes. I wanna say it's called kaseys stop or something like that. I usually get a few links of boudin from there after a hunt in Klondike. Seen tge turkey jerky but haven't tried it

SoggyRedNeck 11-28-2011 02:01 PM

My favorite blind food/drinks is a handful of cold boudin balls and a bottle of mountain dew. Gotta be careful or you'll be hunting the bank if your stomach isn't ready for that boudin.

Micah 11-29-2011 07:22 AM

Thermos of coffee in the duck blind is all I need.

latravcha 11-29-2011 09:26 AM

Deer stand in the morning- Monster energy drinks and stasumas throw the pealings on the ground for deer attractant.
Deer stand in the afternoon-Cajun trail mix from walmart and Miller Light
