I hate cold weather....I'd move farther south if I could.

fishfighter 11-30-2011 10:17 AM

too cold to fish but i bet if he would call for you to go shoot a moose you would be all in, i know i would, would have to stop at the outfitter's first to pick up about four extra thick coats and pants though, rediculously cold

eman 11-30-2011 10:48 AM

some of the best trips i've ever had .Both fresh and salt water has been when it was right around or just below freezing. BUT -35f is just a little to cold for this old fart.

:rotfl::rotfl: Dude, I weigh a whopping 145 lb! I'd freeze straight through in 5 minutes or less in that weather!..You, on the other hand, Pookie, would survive at least 10 minutes before you were overtaken by "popsicle-ism!";)

A Moose Like This? My buddy killed this about a month ago. Hunted 36 days in a row after work. Called in a sow grizzly with 3 cubs to 15 yards, a Lynx and asaw the biggest balck bear he has ever seen in 26 years then he sticks this guy. 56" spread and lots of meat. He was with me at White Lake this year when I caught the redfish I am holding in my avatar.

Jordan 11-30-2011 02:13 PM

that is amazing animal there. On my "Wish" bucket list

DUCKGOGETTER 11-30-2011 02:14 PM

He called the moose in to 50 yards across a small clearing and he hung up. My buddy wears a brown camo pattern so he starts walking straight at this moose, cow calling all the while. The moose gets nervous but just stands there. At 25 yards he double lungs him. Moose bolts, he cow calls real loud while walking real fast toward him. Moose stops, puts 2 more arrows in him doing this and the rest is history- and a full freezer!

This is the second moose he kills with his bow using this technique.

fishfighter 11-30-2011 05:00 PM

awesome
