Lake okeechobee !!!!!

Me and Lauren headed down to lake okeechobee for some fishin before we hit up Disney world.
We fished with Roland martins guide service; Kevin long was our guide.
He's from Michigan and guides down here from nov- may then heads to lake st Claire in Michigan from may - October.
Very nice guy; great guide & fun to talk with.
He has a ranger Comanchee with a 225 opti ; loaded with all the goods!
It's got a lot of fishing space , very comfortable!

We headed out at 6 am; first stop was in some flooded grass on a flat.
Caught 10 fish in 1 hour ; 2-4 lbs.
Then all of a sudden the big girls showed up!!
Lauren caught a 5 lb then I caught a 5 lb.
Then a few more 2-4 lb bass.
Then I stuck a 7.5 lb monster!!!
We caught a few more 2-4 lbers and made a move.
Different place ; same result!!
Lauren stuck a 7 lb then a 5 lb!!
I caught a 6lb then a pair of 4 lb.!!

The bite slowed by noon so we ate a lil lunch and went to another area.
Bingo!!!!
More big bass!!!
We ended with 38 total!!
Released all we caught.
Took pics of each fish.
Only one small fish under 2 lb was caught; I was the lucky angler! Lol

We had a blast!!! If you ever travel near lake okeechobee try and find time to fish!!!

Here are some pics

Awesome catch!! I wouldn't mind taking a trip like that. I may have a little trouble throwing them back though.

Haha.... Yea; it was tuff!!
But with no way to keep em cold and safe for 5 days it was the best decision.
I got length and girth for the 7 & 7.5 lbers. I'm gonna get a replica mount done for us.
The minimum size is 18 inches on the lake if anyone was wondering.
