My new place to buy tackle

Ive been out of saltwater fishing for a while and needed to update my arsenal. Back in the day I use to go to Lake Charles and buy my baits and what not. I checked out a tackle shop in Sulphur about a year ago and really liked it. Its not huge by far but it has something I havent seen at a tackle shop in a long time. That thing is SERVICE. Something you dont see much anymore.
I went in this shop with all 3 of my plano boxes. ha. One guy looked at what I had and brought me to the isle where they keep the items I needed. I told the guy load me up and to my surprise he grabbed about 8 packs of baits. Out of the vast amount of plastics he had in this store, this is all I needed? He assured me that was it to get me going. I walked out of the store for about $25.00 and kinda confused. If I would have went to the other side of the river it probaly would have been a lot more.
Do yourself a favor and go to The Tackle Box. Many Thanks

They are good people over there. And yes, the customer service is excellent. I always recommend them.

Glad to have them as a sponsor of the site.

I'm not much of a bass fisherman and I have all the saltwater tackle in the frikin world....so my buddies wanted to go after dem green trout. I know the TB has a great selection of freshwater tackle. I walked in and saw OB...straight up told'em hey I have an idea of what what i need and explained where i was fishing. Got me hooked up with the baits and everything without BS. Heck I'll just go there and BS with the folks and look around...okay well yes I end up buying something. Like a women in a shoe/purse store  Its nice to have a place that stocks quality tackle and gear so close!

I have been wanting to stop in as I have heard a lot about the Tackle Box on this forum. I usually go to the country station in Broussard but I will be going to Houston sometime this week for work and plan to stop at the Tackle Box on the way there or back. I am in the process of buying a new reel and am leaning towards a Lew's. Does the tackel box sell reels and more specifically Lew's?

Also, what are the hours of operation for the Tackle box? Thanks!

They got them. I believe they have a few different models.

Sounds like a topic for the tackle forum. Look forward to hearing your input on the pros and cons of your shimano Chronarch compared to lew's or other reels.

Im gonna stick with my zebco 33 and my ugly stick. Love the flex and to hear that drag buzz when I reel.

Thank you all so much for the kind words! We work hard to earn those compliments and we really appreciate that it is noticed! We will continue to try our best to provide our clients with great service and quality products they deserve! :)

in reference to an earlier post, we do carry Lew's. we carry the laser mg series $79, the SS1H series $99, the TS1S series $149 and the TP1H series $199. we can get the team lew's TL1H series, but we don't keep that one in stock. we will have some Lew's reels on rod combos at a nice discount for the LC boat show. :grinpimp:
