Texas border patrol boats

5 Attachment(s)
Taken from another forum I'm on...

"The Texas DPS (highway patrol) has a new boat. They ordered 6 of these 35' Yellowfin gunboats at $580K each to patrol the Texas border. Thought some of you might enjoy these. I believe 4 go to the Rio Grande and 2 go to the Southern Coast. Hull #2 is on an Amera-trail.

5 x FN M240B 7.62×51 mm NATO Light machineguns, 2 - Barrett .50 BMG Sniper Rifles, 5.56 rifles, 9mm sub machineguns, and grenade launchers."

Boarder jumpers beware :smokin:

Slidellkid 01-20-2012 06:28 PM

I am glad someone wants to protect the border

bjhooper82 01-20-2012 07:30 PM

Dang that thing looks bad arse!!!

Ray 01-20-2012 09:57 PM

Saw it at the Houston Boat Show.
It has FLIR also.
It is not a regular Yellowfin. It has several things different.

When the O gets wind of these boats he will have them ferrying the illegals across the border into the US. His right nut Holder will see to it.

Let's see W make fun of this boats T-Top on the water with those guns pointed at em.

That's one good way to keep the Potlickers away from you.

They got back ups, 5 more ordered.

Dink 01-21-2012 01:50 PM

600k doesn't sound unreasonable with all the tech and firepower that goes onto it. I read awhile back that the hull has Kevlar layers built in it! Wow!!

That infowars dude is a quackjob!!

Sea-Trac Offshore 01-21-2012 09:38 PM

I was thinking the same thing about the Verados. La Wildlife and Fisheries hates theirs as they are in the shop more than on the water

What I loved about the one at the Houston boat show was, the 6 mud grips on the trailer and even one as a spare!!! Now that's a waste of money.

That's in case they get stuck!

flounder_smacker 01-22-2012 01:42 PM

guy on that video says he knows boats and that boat only cost 100k lol.

Dink 01-22-2012 03:56 PM

What a joke. Damn near 100k in motors!!

gasdad 01-22-2012 07:51 PM

Texas politicians must know how to manage their money better to be able to spend that kind of money on boats. Here in LA Jindal is cutting everywhere especially education and hospitals. When you can't afford to educate out children and provide care for poor and sick then we have a big problem.

Glad it's a 6wd trailer cause they probably don't have a truck to pull it with!!! But at least they have the spare mud grip for the trailer in case they run over a bottle pulling out of the launch ...

Ray 01-23-2012 12:59 AM

As long as they catch them drug smugglers and illegal aliens, I don't care what they paid for them.

skeeter77346 01-23-2012 07:46 AM

Confiscated Drug $s were used to pay for these rigs. They will run patrols on Amistad and Falcon and parts of the Rio Grande.

Ray 01-23-2012 07:56 PM

They are going to be running them in the Gulf also.

Top Dawg 01-23-2012 08:10 PM

Just made my "O" face

RODBENDER 01-24-2012 11:30 AM

That is really "W"'s potlicker erradication unit!!!

Jordan 01-24-2012 02:41 PM

On a side note. We (me and Bohunterbiff) got stopped on vernon lake this past saturday by 2 game wardens. They were in a 1548 allweld with a 50 merc verado. They checked us and was backing up. We were fishing some thick stumps and he slammed the thing in reverse and i said " there is a stump behind you, and he ran right into it" He put it in forward and smirked and said "they'll pay for it". They = us !!!

Ray 01-25-2012 08:49 AM

I didn't think they made a 50 Verado.
