Big Woods 1/22/12
 

Got the invite by a buddy of mine to fish Big Woods. If you haven't been.... well u need to go. Started out fishing "the river" and managed 15 fish by 830. Moved over to "the pond" and started ripping azzz. Caught easily over 40 bass on the day! They were murdering the rattletraps. Almost every fish went over a pound and a half. Talk about a good time. Didn't catch any bigguns, but my two best went 3lb and 4.4lb. BW is a catch and release establishment. They also offer duck hunting and deer hunting. Dont know too much info on the place other than that.

That place is pretty cool. My wife's boss has a membership. My son caught his first bass on artificial in the pond. He was 5. I was one proud dad.

How you like them double front boats?

The ones we used couldnt stay on track for anything. Its a fun place. Nice job boss!

we had 15+ mph winds yesterday soo it didnt matter what we did. we kept the trolling motor on full blast the whole time. they are nice and roomy. made for 3 people but we only fish 2

Could've made a phone call and got 3 in the boat.

Let's just say I should have gone fishing. 2nd split was one for the record books....terrible!!!!

yeah the hall of SHAME! I plan on making a bunch of bass trips in the next few months. I will hit you up when i know more.

yeah all the vegetation was gone! made for some good rattletrap fishin.

I wish the fishin was better when we went.

That place will spoil ya quick!

yep its sick! If you go to the website and look at the galleries you can see big fish caught from the dock. They got some toads out there.

i dont know if they do single trips... i think its an annual membership.

Gotcha. Would be cool if it was a per trip set up. Me and my dad used to go on guided bass trips somewhere near lake charles. I think that place was ruined by saltwater intrusion from the hurricanes though.

I have been there a few time. Great fishing.

12 years ago...... family membership was about $ 1700 per year.

Pretty sure its double that now.
