I know this topic has been a circle jerk since the origin of Salty Cajun...but i say lets make it happen and let's do it in late feb early march when the big girls are out to play. If the water continues to rise even if it remains the same we can make it happen. I say we hold it at fin and feather. I can make a call and and see if we can get some discounted room rates. Anyone interested please post +1.

I'm game.. I was voting for a mid march depending on what they are doing on beds etc.
Hell even April is good with #'s.

Just looked back in my logs, end of February, not a whole lot were on beds last year, they were just moving up. One of my notes, I seen maybe a dozen bed fish then.

Well....we are having a milder winter and the bass are already showing up in the shallows....if it continues this way, april will be too late.

I'll give F&F a call tomorrow and post up the rates etc. Early March might be the ticket.

March 4th = my birthday.. we hitting the tit bar and everything. You just go ahead a schedule for vacation.

March 3rd is a saturday 4th is a Sunday

Feb 25, March 3rd, or March 10th. I didn't get a chance to call Fin and Feather but will do it 1st thing in the morning. It's off 87 just north of 6Mile in Housen.

Bass master classic is that day.

We can watch it from the tv's in the cabins when we get off the water....always something going on....need to set a date and roll with it.

I'll be in shreveport up there. Any other weekend I'm fine. No big deal if I don't make it

Have we decided an actual date?

Was at fin and feather this weekend.. Its for sale and they dont have cable or satellite... the bar isnt open

How'd ya'll do? Fished lowe's and indian mounds...wind was kikn' saturday..just fished the eve and finished up with 8 w/ a couple kentuckys in the mix. This morning was slow but started to pick up as it warmed...lost a pig in about 18" of water in lowes. She had to be between 7-8 lbs...when her mouth broke the water and she ran i was pumped then snap at my surgeons not where my braid meets my leader. Never using berkley mono flouro leader line again...too much stretch. P-Line leader line or bust! Only managed 11 this morning.

I think we can still manage a good tourney w/o cable and a bar. We can have a fish fry / gumbo get together after the tourney. I'll post some info up sometime tomorrow.

o...and on a good note...with this rain we got this past weekend..lake is up another 6".

Dat sucks you lost the big one....try seaguar premium floro leader material,20lb has the diameter of 15lb.

X100 on the seaguar! that and sunline are all i use

Ok. Been deer hunting and was gonna post this week.

Been kinda planning on doing this in april when Casey can make it.

Doing a 2 man tourney with a big bass pot. Say $50 a boat with an optional $5 big bass per person pot.

Can't be at any of the state/SRA sites because of insurance. I have fished many tourneys out of Big Bass and they have cabins, etc to rent and Cypress Bend is fairly close with a motel and other amenities.

Not trying to step on any toes here.

I realize with the warming trend it may be post spawn, but we always catch fish in April

Hell, I am game for one in Feb and one in April.

I like the idea of two spread out, that way if guys can't make one they may make the othere

Ok, how about April 21st? I'll see if Big Bass has anything going on. If so, I am sure we can weigh in at Buckeye which is right next to Big Bass.
