BigChaf 01-26-2012 04:20 PM

Stay out of the motorized pool in the Yak or you may get your arse runover, you have to watch those 40 hp guys, I have been ready for 2 years, hope there is a lot of rain between now and March 15.

YellowMouth7 01-26-2012 04:21 PM

I gots the boat just need a lil motivation to go. Seems like chores always take priority after duck season.

YellowMouth7 01-26-2012 04:30 PM

what type of motivation......Ill pay for Gas, Food, etc.

I dont know why but I just couldnt get into fishing this past year like I had in the past, this year I'm hoping will be different. Of course moving and getting the new place set up had a lot to do with it

huntin fool 01-26-2012 05:54 PM

Has anybody heard how the water level is? A guy I work with took a picture a couple of months ago at the old launch. He was standing on end of the launch and his shoes were barely wet. Hopefully it's higher now.

I'm pumped.

Montauk17 01-28-2012 03:41 PM

Never fished the pool....would like to give it a shot one day. Only problem is I don't have a motor small enough. I wonder if they would notice a 60 johnson with 40 stickers? :D

I'm gonna hit you up as soon as i get my honey do's around the house done that have been neglected since duck season. Should only take me a couple of weekends and i'll be ready to sling some bucket mouths. You got my number i think give me a holler.

Water looked great in the pool. Water was just a few inches from the top of the spillway. Grass kill was not very good though. Saw alot of green along way. DUCKS EVERYWHERE!!!!!! Took my 8 yr old son with me fishing. He caught a 6 lb red on a shiner. Was fun to watch on the Zebco. Nothing else biting. Spoke to some guys and they said before the front they were catching fish. So take it as you will, until the weather passes, possibly mid week, til it changes back.

I stuck up here in the Great Frozen northwest of Canada till the 7th of March. But when I get home. All I need to do is put trolling motor and battery back on Gator-Tail. Then new string on reels and I'll be ready to go.

"W" 02-19-2012 07:17 PM

hstew04 02-25-2012 09:23 PM
