Did you guys see this? I think it's kinda jacked up that as a loyal customer of 12 years and that I am grandfathered in with the unlimited that I pay so much for on 3 iPhones they are going to start this!

they throttle me they will lose a customer, but i'm on wifi most of the time

I'm n the top 5% of data usage .... I he the txt and email every month .... My bill has increased from $205. For me and my wife to $300-315 each month!!
It's redicilous!!
I was on the old unlimited plan!! And now I'm being charged more!!
My wife is on the new regulated plan. And she is barely ever in the Internet and hasn't set up email on her phone.
We both have iPhones so we can see the data "used"

It's never the same on the phone and on the bill or on the at&t website....

I called and asked for an explanation.... I was told" sir if u don't pay the bill service will b disconnected; if you don't like how AT&T bills you for your data usage..... Get a new cellular provider!!!

AT&T is a horrible company and I hope they go bankrupt someday!!!

im on the old data package for both our phones....My bill is about 280 per month

I have looked at all and none are better than the other......You will pay to use internet at all of them

Soon someone will come out with unlimited and better server to take over the the cell phone air...

I hope AT&T does it 1st but who knows

damn $280 ...... We have two iphones on the old unlimited data plan and unlimited messaging ...... our bills are $95 a piece

I'm mostly on wifi, I guess. I just paid the last two months of phone bills on my phone yesterday and it was $181....And, I thought I had it bad!?!

sprint 79.00 includes unlimited data minus 25% work discount.....stay on it all day.....

I know Sprint has an unlimited plan also, but I heard they throttle their usage back from 4G as well to help their server and curve usage by it customers. We have AT&T now bu thave been thinking of switching to Sprint.

Man i've never had a problem with them ..... they overcharged me two months in a row, I called them and they gave me my money back and sent me a 50% off my next phone coupon....... now verizon put the screws to me !!

I have never had problems either on 2 occasions I was down in Cameron for work and using my phone at the heliport. I saw it was connected to off network site but I didn't care and kept using it. When I got my bill both times I told them they were gonna take those charges off because I have a no roaming plan and I was within the continental US so it was their problme not mine to deal with...They hesitated but they took the charges off both times.

No air card ...... i have 450 anytime and 5000 nights and weekends with unlimited mobile to mobile

As of today i've used 6 anytime minutes and 5 nights and weekends and i have 4200 rollover minutes

All carriers are a rip-off as far as data is concerned, but we don't have many options to fight them. I'm glad I'm on Verizon's unlimited even though I don't use much data.

they can't or "the stockholders" supposedly can't afford to build new infastructure along with the capitol required to handle the data usage. att has a great stock b/c they don't spend money on crap...hell 4g isn't even rolled out yet...they all suck and its collusion in an oligopoly...

Isnt verisons unlimited plan only on certain phones, I thought the plan did not cover all smartphones?

wife just got a new phone this weekend...Verizon...their big sales pitch...."upgrade now so your grandfathered in when they put a datta cap in the next couple of months!!" So a data cap is coming to verizon.

Me and the wife bothe got Sprint Evo's, our unlimited plan is like $125 a month for both of us. I find sprints data to be rather slow even when sitting in a full service area. Ive never once been able to connect to 4G even though they are pumping a signal for it somewhat close to my house.

Verizon doesn't offer an unlimited plan anymore. Seems like I read somewhere they are starting to throttle like AT&T, but I might be mistaken.

Verizon got rid of unlimited in the summer. They do run promotions where you can get double the amount of data if you upgrade at that time.

My wife and I are both on the Everything Data Shared Plan with Sprint and I really have no complaints. We both have the EVO's with the unlimited plan, both have the 'Total Equipment Protection' plan and I have the hotspot activated on mine. My bill is usually $210 depending on if I make international calls for work or not, then it's obviously higher.
Lake Chuck Duck, I didn't know there was a 4G tower in the Lake Charles area. When did they put that up?
I used 4G in Corpus Christi and man does it make a difference! Blazing compared to 3G!

anyone using sprint download opera mini browser and use it to connect....like a rocket compared to the normal....

Its in the area of the college but it doesnt extend very far.

MY buddy lives on W. Oak Lane near OLQH and he gets 4G all day. I live in university and I can barely watch a you tube video when I am in my shed.

Is your shed a metal building? That will drastically drop your signal.

Last time I was in the Verizon store one of the reps told me they were supposed to have 4G in Lake Charles around June or July.

nope, wood with a shingle roof. Dont get it, its a dead zone for some reason.

Sprint sucks as far as service. If you get off the beaten path just a tad then all you have is a paper weight instead of a phone.

My new cell phone company that I'm going to open

Switching our service from At&t to sprint on Friday...I have been a long time iPhone user and have been satisfied with it...but I am getting bored with it so I am planning on getting the new Evo...any of u use it how is it compared to iPhone? Does it do everything an iPhone does?

I've had an EVO almost since day one. Great phone, plenty of features and my Sprint service has been great also. I've had Sprint since they came to the Lake Charles market. I can't tell you how the EVO compares to the iPhone as I've never used one.

Most top android phones will do everything an iphone will do and probably more. Most aren't as fluid and polished as the iphone though. If sprint sells the samsung galaxy S2 that would be the android to get. Definitely spend plenty of time playing with the phones in the store before you buy.

Sprint sells Iphones too.

I had Mercury, which was bought out by US Unwired. THey would not take an online payment, so I had to drop them. There were times I got my bill in the mail the day I left for work, and it would be overdue by the time I got home.
I went to Centennial and had good luck with them, as long as there was nothing wrong with my phone. When I had an issue, all hell would break loose. Their local customer service sucked. After a few years of fighting with them I went to Sprint, which bought out US Unwired..
Had good luck so far. It gets the best signal along the coast, where I need it most.
I thought the plan costs were too high, till I seen what some of you guys pay.

I don't have an iPhone but I have an itouch which is basically the same thing. It seems like a kids toy compared to my EVO. I feel like the iPhone is made for high school kids and younger while Androids are made for adults, it just seems that way to me.

Funny today i received a letter from suddenlink capping my Internet usage. Kind of like what the hell do I pay u for to limit my use? I'll probably never reach the cap but so what. I guess they can't handle the higher traffic since everybody has the interwebz

Just received my FREE message from AT&T saying that I am near my 3GB usage for the month and my Internet will begin to slow down!

I am sitting here laughing my azz off at every dang one of you. 10 years ago w/ lived w/o anything but a cell (maybe). 20 years ago we lived w/ beepers and land lines.
WTH . If you don't like it STOP USING IT!!!!! You will not die ,no one will come and kidnap your family and eat them if you don't have the latest and greatest phone or app.
There is NO reason that you have to stay connected to the world at the hip.
Most everyone has gotten used to being able to see it ,say it, get it and do it now.
Slow down ,back up and breath. I enjoy the puter and it's nice to be able to call folks when i feel like it But is it necessary? NO! We lived before having all this crap and we can live w/o it.

its hard though its like a crack addiction....lol......i do everything off my phone without it i would not be able to run my company and work off. im constantly sending emails and looking up products and estimates...



im not worried though i normally run around 3gb a month but i have the old unlimited....my bill runs 224 for 3 phones 2 of which are smartphones with verizon

I didn't realize how much data I used till I got this iPad and started paying for it!

I for one love my phone. Can I do without it yes but why? 100 years ago there was no electricity in most homes. They lived without it just fine. I bet 100 % of people now would not even think about not using it and get very mad if they had interuptions in their service. Just what you get used to. I for one am very used to having a phone with me. I will turn around in a minute to go back home to get it if I leave it there.

You know eman like when your used to buying meat at a certain price and expecting an amount and the store says "sorry that's too much...we are going to limit your purchase amount"
