BayBolt23 02-18-2012 11:43 AM

I like them biotches but Im just used to fishing with flip flops or just bare footed

DUCKGOGETTER 02-18-2012 11:54 AM

For me crocs to start off then it's bare footed the rest of the day

simplepeddler 02-18-2012 11:56 AM

I have a pair of those Shimanos and really like them.

Lake Chuck Duck 02-18-2012 12:06 PM

Guess I'm old fashioned. I still rock the standard sperry topsider boat shoes. Probably always will.

Big Kahunaz 02-18-2012 12:26 PM

man...i coulda used those back in hawaii...they got any other colors besides black?

Big Kahunaz 02-18-2012 12:30 PM

speaking of...sandals....haven't seen these worn too often around here but they were huge in hawaii and are the most comfortable sandals with arch support i've ever worn..they make them from leather to beachy: check em out little pricey but mine are 2 years old and still like new OluKai sandals

SaltyShaw 02-18-2012 01:00 PM

Rider Cayman II
Best pair of Sandals I have ever owned going on almost 2 years on my first pair and still kickin strong and comfy and they only $35 http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Rider-Cayman-...rY!~~60_12.JPG

Might check out a pair of those columbias though they look pretty neat

FF_T_Warren 02-18-2012 01:05 PM

I started using the vibram 5 fingers for fishing last year and I loved em. Boat or wading, worked like a champ and dried out quickly

outcast 02-18-2012 01:08 PM

Keen. Best water shoes ever made. I have two pair and love em

simplepeddler 02-18-2012 01:10 PM

I like a bunch of those, but when you are on your hands and knees scrubbing those black marks of the non-skid in your boat you will hate them!!

simplepeddler 02-18-2012 01:17 PM

I hear you shaw.....but I have one of those inferior aluminum hulls that run all this off.
It has that sand non skid. It's brutal on things......my calcuttas are scarred from hell and back.

Columbia makes a lace up pair just like em called the drain maker. Wore them last year. and liked them alot! they have off white soles, soo no black marks unless you bring the dirt with you. they do have other colors available also. I cant stand when some one wears black sole tennis shoes on my rig , they go bare foot, wear a pair of my crocks, or go home.

They vent pretty good, I dont care for squishy toes either, and didnt notice sweaty feat last summer! I fish barefoot alot, when not they are on my feet. I gave up on the crocs for the boat after whiping out once or twice just wear them around the camp and launch. Havent had a prob. slipping in the columbias.

SaltyShaw 02-18-2012 01:39 PM

kade....they all feel the same on your foot...just about style...the non dressup line are all non marking and water resistant.

I've got the ohana's in green and gray....peep 'em..

One of the style's is the sponsored sandal for the hawaiian life guards..can't remember which one

are those the brown leather models? the islanders swore by olukai sandals..these sandals are sperrys for hawaiians. Every sport fisher i went on the capt and crew wore em. That should state something about the durability......they are no doubt worth the money. plus...not every tom **** and harry has a pair :D

calcutta37 02-18-2012 02:33 PM

Yea those would be good boat sandals i like them also.

speck-chaser 02-18-2012 03:10 PM

I bought some of the shimano water shoes last year after almost breaking my neck twice with dem crocs. The shimanos are cool, roomy and much more comfy than the crocs, also no slip, non marking soles too. Picked em up at acaciana outfitters for arond 50 bucks.

calcutta37 02-18-2012 03:22 PM

Just spent 200 bucks on OLUKAI sandals, and a pair of shoes.

Will"E"Fish 02-18-2012 04:08 PM

Shimano Avair Sandal's been favorite for at least the last 7 year's.

Man Ryan, I go bare foot! most comfortable feeling! Well being born and raised in Hawaii I never wore shoes. Flip Flops (slippers) is all I would wear and I had a dress up pair. Rain, shine, sleet, or snow you will hardly find me wearing shoes unless Im at work

SaltyShaw 02-18-2012 08:21 PM

Man I love me some bare foot or flop flops!
I'm bout to run up a tab on Olukai like Calcutta did.......winning

outcast 02-18-2012 08:34 PM

If we are talking about boat shoes, i wear some sperry flip flops to the boat. Barefoot once i get in the boat!
