I do as well. I would have gone with a darker green and not painted the motor. Imo, its a sick ride. Green is my favorite color.

Bluechip 02-21-2012 04:24 PM

Wake up...

southern151 02-21-2012 05:22 PM

Man, that thing is sure to grab some attention!

mriguy 02-21-2012 05:27 PM

Ridiculous if ya ask me! Not sucking up but IMO, Shaw has the best looking Haynie I've seen so far.

Maybe they waited years and saved to buy a boat in the color they liked?

If Im gonna spend that much money, I am gonna buy something I like.

Yeah, they already had the money for the hull, motor and trailer....just had to save up for years for the color.

Dont hate on the man for a green boat when all you had back in your hay day was "black and white"

Montauk17 02-21-2012 05:55 PM

I can honestly say that is the ugliest color scheme I have ever seen on a boat. The painted motor really sets off the fugly factor.

jchief 02-21-2012 05:55 PM

I believe that is Chris's wife's boat.

SaltyShaw 02-21-2012 06:20 PM

Yep Chris custom built that boat for his wife, I like it but that's just me I wouldn't have done the green motor tho.
Thanks for the compliment on my Haynie MRIguy
I like that the term tits is getting the recognition it deserves haha

I like it bc it's one of a kind. Maybe a bit extreme for my tastes but there isn't another like it. Looks like the inside work is unique as well with the additions of the seats off the front deck. Take it for what it is, a show boat. Just think it's neat when some of these boat builders will go all out including changing the color of the motor - i.e. The "blacked out" motors on the SCBs are tits. :)

Salty 02-22-2012 12:11 PM

I think it's unique (for lack of a better word) but the motor and wheel trim is hideous.

Anybody venture a guess as to what this thing costs?

Ouch!!

Aside from knowing the definition of "freeboard"....I'll admit that I'm not really that knowledgeable about boats. I just do not see the fascination with Haynie.
