Hydro, my neighbor went on the Sabine today and said the current was very strong. They ran their battery almost to zero and didn't catch that much. I hope you have better luck and no hiding fish for next weekend.

Thanks for the current report... Tourney isnt till the 31st so there is still time to find some fish...

I rarely fish the actual "river" except for south of 10, mostly I like to haunt the backwater areas and shallow spots with them big-ole flat lilly pads...

If you find any red paint floating in the river let me know. I lost all the paint off the bottom and a big patch of the side. I'm not a happy camper.

I'm so mad. I will be calling them Monday. I did everything to a t on prepping the surface. That was a lot of money and effort for it to do that.

Lets just say I was able to "eliminate" allot of water for the upcoming tournament :rolleyes:



Also had an interesting encounter with a group of hogs when I was waaaayyy back off the beaten path... There I was, easing along with the current flippin laydowns in a NARROW drain when I came up on a hog in a big grove of palmettos.... He didnt see me at first, but when he did, him and the other 10-20 (that I didnt see) that were in that grove came to life :eek:

Not a pretty scene when all had to defend myself with was a watermelon red lizard on a graphite stick !!! Now I am sure some sort of subliminal training kicked in somewhere amongst the screaming hogs and bustin' branches as my body went into a frozen position while the pack of pork went crashing off into the swamp....

Now I'm not embarrased to say that have been skeert to the point of hair standing up on the back of my neck, but I'm pretty sure my eyebrows were standing on end and I could feel my ballcap rising off my head :shaking:

All in all a pretty good morning, everything considered...

Not to be mean but, if it fell off back to the original surface that you prepped to have top coated, either it wasn't prepped right OR, the prepped surface is failing (oxidation) causing whatever is on top to let go. I don't think there is much the shop can do about that as far as warranty goes.

If you'd like, I'll pm you my # and maybe able to shed some better light on what may have happened.

You are probably right on the warranty. I wet sanded the whole boat. Rubbed it down with I think it was acetone. Whatever he sold me to do it with. I guess know I can really paint it pink. I'll call you later about. When's a good time to call you.

Slung around 28 on the main river today

Not bad. I hadn't really fished Westfork in probably 5-7 yrs so it's back to learning it again. Was that you standing by one the culverts. It looked like you was fishing and somebody else was standing out there with ya.

It never quits ringing for me unless the battery dies. Main suggestion though is don't call at 3 am unless ya stuck in a ditch and need a wrecker... My wife will cuss ya pretty bad! I've seen it happen! Lol.

Gimme a shout tomorrow and we'll see what's goin on.
