Fossil, GShock, knock offs, whatcha got son!

I like my fossils

MattW 03-22-2012 09:32 PM

I'm a big time watch junkie, but have traded quantity for quality. I've got a Rolex submariner blue face, gold and stainless. I would love a Patek, but can buy a new Hayne for the price of the cheapest one. Hublots are nice, but you either love them or hate them. What you got Pox?

mriguy 03-22-2012 09:33 PM

Want an Omega. Getting myself one as a gift when my youngest child graduates from high school

FF_T_Warren 03-22-2012 09:37 PM

fishinpox 03-22-2012 09:42 PM

Just bought my fiancé A tag aqua racer w mother of pearl dial n diamond markers

Had other tags, omegas but sold them

I've been on the fence about buying a Rolex yachtmaster with the platinum bezel but I don't want my customers seeing me wear it . I'll prolly buy it for my birthday in June

have had a Tag for around 12 years and just bought an Invicta. Not an expensive watch but it has a blue face and gold/stainless strap and bezel. Looks like a high dollar watch but only ran me around $100.

fishinpox 03-22-2012 09:46 PM

If u want a Rolex I can get them 15-20% off from my Jewler in Ohio . He also has a few used breitlings for sale right now that people traded in for upgrades , yeah pateks are tits

jlincecum 03-22-2012 09:46 PM

MattW 03-22-2012 09:46 PM

12,700.00 if you just walk in a jewelry store , I can get it for about 10,200.00 from my Jewler

jdm4x43732 03-22-2012 09:55 PM

Look nice but too rich for my blood. I've got an old Fossil that I throw on every now and then but not often.

fishinpox 03-22-2012 09:56 PM

Yeah but it's a watch that will last the rest of your life n your kids life. Plus they hold their value very good

T-Bone 03-22-2012 09:59 PM

Shoot....Ole Dink probably got two of them....One for each wrist.

swamp snorkler 03-22-2012 10:03 PM

I have a Seiko Kinetic, paid about $200 for it. To each his own but I can't see wearing a 4 wheeler on my wrist.

I agree, I have a breitling Bentley and love it. Only mistake I made was the Gator band...too dressy for most occasions.

You must be crazy!! I'd never spend that much on a watch!! Mine were half that!

Dink 03-22-2012 11:17 PM

Bob, That's a beauty!!!

I make oil 03-23-2012 05:14 AM

SS Rolex Daytona, Omega Speedmaster, Tag F1 and my everyday watch a Timex. Bought my Daytona in Dubai for much cheaper than the US and didn't have to pay taxes. Got the Omega in Singapore and again didn't have to pay taxes. I got my wife a Gold Rolex Ladies datejust in Dubai which she never wears. I also don't wear mine like I thought I would. I'm very self concise about them and what people might think when they see me wearing them. It's also not to safe to travel with them to many of the places I go. So they stay home in the Jewlery box. You can save a lot of money buying luxury items out of the country due to tax breaks. With so many replica watches out there most people don't beleive they are real. First question most ask. Is that a Rolex? Second Question. Is it real? LOL

fishinpox 03-23-2012 06:49 AM

Bob what model is that ? Sea dweller?? The pic is kinda fuzzy

Wide Open 03-23-2012 07:36 AM

I have a knock off Tag, and a Movado! Both realy nice, but can't stand to wear either. Bothers the hell outa me! Came close to getting robbed one night for the knock off on a back street off of Bouban some years ago and just stopped wearing them unless it's a wedding or something fancy. Can't stand the tan line either!

getonfish 03-23-2012 07:41 AM

I love my watches. I have around 35 now. I do not have a rolex but I do have a Tag Carerra II and a bvlgari. My Tag is in the shop for the second time in 6 years not real happy about that. I must say though that I currently have a love affair with Invicta. In my opinion they are the best watch you can buy for the money if you like large watches. Swiss movement, superior quality and a really tough crystal makes for a really good watch for $300 to $400 bucks.

hargroderauto 03-23-2012 08:00 AM

Any watch with Tritium gas lights. I have a Luminox and a Smith & Wesson with this lighting system. I would rather keep my 10 Grand in the bank than on my wrist. Rolex's in my opinion are just status symbols and they really do not keep good time. If I have to impress someone I won't do it with a watch. I do have 5 family members with Rolex's but they are not my cup of tea.(no offense to anyone who wears one)

goldenrod 03-23-2012 08:06 AM

Old school Swatch. Just kidding.

1fastmerc 03-23-2012 08:26 AM

For those of you who can remember this a **** Tracy and PAC man watch.

Looks like the Daytona - I have a knock of one that my father-in-law bought in Dubai.

Used to be a watch junkie and have three tags, the nicest of which is a Linx Tiger Woods edition. Also have a Luminox blackout series. However, my favorite watch is my Casio Pathfinder. It's the lightest of all of em and has way more features.

If I were in the market for a new watch though it would be a Breitling.

wtretrievers 03-23-2012 08:43 AM

Not much on watches but there's a guy I work with that builds watches, makes some fine stuff!

bjhooper82 03-23-2012 09:01 AM

Went with my wife to the mall a while back and went to Lee Michaels to have her ring cleaned and damn near bought a Rolex. Not sure but I think it was a Milgaus [sp]??

simplepeddler 03-23-2012 10:48 AM

I have a Date just rose gold and stainless, classic style
Three Omega Seamasters, my everyday guys
Five Swiss Armys, my hunting and boating watches
One Longines Masters collection Power reserve in 18K Rose Gold with the Valljoux movement that is a incredible work of art

And I have A Ball Conductor.
If you want a quality piece that customers will not notice or pay any attention too,
Look closely at the Ball Watches .........read a little history on this company.

Most Bang for the buck in Watches today in this country IMO.

Yes, I am a watch and gun snob.

simplepeddler 03-23-2012 10:53 AM

Look at Stienhart too.........German watch......classy stuff with great Value.

Big Flounder 03-23-2012 11:12 AM

I have a citizen Eco-drive sky hawk. The blue angels watch. This thing got all kind of gadgets on it that I have no idea how to use! I used to buy a lot of watches but got tired of replacing batteries. This one never needs a battery and changes time on its own when time changes. I paid $550 for it

Its actually a knock off I bought in new York for $25 lol. I really used to have a movado museum but I sold it a long time ago back when I was stupid.

meaux fishing 03-23-2012 11:17 AM

I want to get back in the watch game soon though

Big Fun 03-23-2012 11:18 AM

Pox,

Got my YM in 08 for 7K. That's how much they've gone up. Also have a SS Sub and much prefer the YM. I also have an Invicta 8926 that looks like the SS Rolex Sub, Amazon has it for $85

simplepeddler 03-23-2012 11:20 AM

Pox, Considering that much for watch you may want to take cruise over to the Islands.

Swiss watches are now more or less controlled pretty hard on watches.
You can expect a 20% savings on that particular model than taxes so you are looking at 3K in savings......which pays for a light curise with the bride.

Also, look into watch net . com and time zone . com, both great reputable places to pick up used pieces.

The model you are looking at can go as low as 5500.......just FYI
