(Think of skipping a rock on water first two r left leg last is right leg)

Ok my approach is 127ft from the board. The board is 42ft from the sand pit.

Once I get to the board, I'm running off the board with the left leg cycle left leg again then right leg jump land in the sand pit. (Left left right)
I'll upload a video this evening. Ull have to see it.

As much as I like baseball, football, and basketball I would put a good track meet right up there with them 3 sports, the speeds of seeing a world class sprinter in action unbelievable, kinda like watching a top fuel dragster in person or on TV in person is whole other experience. Ill try to keep that in my memory to go and if my kids is not playing ball I may bring him......Congrats on the Top finish.

What is now called the Tripple Jump event had a different name back 40+ years ago. It was called the "Hop-step-jump".

As Lawrence said.....You run up to the "board" or starting point. You try to have your foot on the board.... but not over the board. If your foot goes over the board, the jump is disqualified. Each jumper gets to make 5 or 6 jumps. Only his best jump counts.

What ever foot is used to "take off" [steps on the board] is the foot that touches the ground next.....ie. a HOP. Then the person takes a step where he lands on the other foot. Next the person makes a "Jump" where he lands on both feet in the sand pit.

Congradulations on your jumping. Good luck at the LSU meet.
