I have guys haulin rock to a rig in johnson bayou and they tell me water is CLEAN!!!!!!

wow that's awesome....what's everybody's opinions on if the fish are on the beach yet

reds are there...if you want em. Sure you can pull some trout here and there....won't be long with this mild winter we had...should get hot as hell soon.

Oh yeh beach gonna be poppin by May!

You know someone that lives out there? Would be nice to get a water report before I make the long haul from lafayette.

Earliest I ever caught trout in the surf was bout the last week in April. When the shrimp get in the surf, the trout will follow. I know that a good sign is when the Spanish Macs are hittin in the surf. The macs are in the Galveston surf right now. It won't be long w/ this mild winter. Also with salinities being low on the inside cause of the rains, the trout will be headin south to the Gulf w/ the higher salinity.

I don't know anyone that "lives" out there but have a close friend and cousin who have side by side camps at little florida beach so we spend a lot of time out there in the summers. Buddy stroked the reds 2 weekends ago in the choco water. I spend most of my days in cameron and johnson bayou and most of our customers are big into wading the surf...so i'll keep ya up to date as the reports start picking up.

Macs are thick thick at Sabine jetties.

There was a lot of baitfish cruising the beach this morning with some birds diving in on em.

Few buddies fished the rocks this weekend. Beautiful water they said, but slack tide all morning and nothing but hardheads. Don't think the trouts are there yet.

Jchief, I was in Six Mile Sunday mornin . . . top up and my wife and daughter with me pullin a few sacalait out . . . next time come on over and say hi . . .
