Birds taking over porch.
The birds have taken over my porch. Any suggestions on how to get rid of em with out shooting them. Maybe a fake owl a bunch of fake owls. They are really making my porch disgusting. If it comes down to it violence will be used. Thanks for any help.

What kinda birds you got? I pulled my boat cover off the other day to clean my boat and they had done built a nest, hatched and gotten big enuff to leave the nest...... think that's a good sign that my boat ain't being used enuff.

Try hanging some old CDs on a string. Preferably where they will be in sunlight.

Big Fake Rubber Snakes Placed close to where they hang out.
Owl or hawk Decoys work well too, but need to move them around or they will figure out hey are fake. |
Dang I am sounding like a tree hugger, but:grinpimp: anyway, what type of birds?
You can't shoot all of em |

get a poster of iron man or chuck norris and hang it on your porch

If they are nesting on a flat surface make some spike strips to cover that surface .

My wife has a killer cat that can "take care" of your birds.
After a little while the cat walked off and the bird flew away....... untouched. |

I had a problem with a Great Heron. He found my backyard Gold Fish Pond and started festing on my 3 year old fish, that purchased for 15 cents each. They were nice sized. I tried the fake owl thing. It did not work.
I then placed wood stakes around the pond, and strung fishing line like a spider web all around and over the pond at 2 feet. The next morning the bird was in the middle of the pond. I ran at him screaming. He got caught up in the line. He was flappin and squaking. he freed himself after a big battle with the line and flew away. Never came back. So I removed the line. The resorts on the beach here in Pensacola string fishing line high above the pool areas to keep the seagulls away. It works. |
