mere sheep... A protest in this area wouldnt have gone well with our neighboring communities. I could see this one getting outta control. southern hospitality only runs so deep. curious to see the backlash this brings about. could get ugly if some soo called groups from the east rise up and protest the decision to turn over contraband days.

it's easy to protest when you don't have to go to work, and are taken care of. And as much as I complain that all the money I pay in taxes just goes to worthless people, I could never be one of those worthless people. and what's worse, it will never end, cause cry baby's gotta cry, and the more we take care of mindless idiots, the worse they will get.

I wonder if they are going to change the name of the Black Heritage Festival to be more diverse.

That's exactly the point. We don't really care what kinds of festivals and things they have going on. We just don't care. But boy they sure don't like US doing our own thing. That's what's sad.

But if they can blare there music and have concerts and I have to look at a grown man's underwear cause he wont pull his pants up, I should be able to celebrate and fly my confederate flag.I dont want special privileges and I dont believe other people should have them either,why should I suffer because a family member Ive never met did something to a member of your family you never even met.

Just got off the phone with my cousin, he is putting on the arm wrestling tournament at contraband days...He said he has a meeting with the board over the festival on monday and will let me know what all the real details are...He is thinking that it is not going to be as bad as you all are thinking.

We can only hope. Thanks for the info.

He doesnt take kindly to all of that racist protest crap so he said he will be speaking his mind at the upcoming meeting....But like I just told him his voice can only be heard so far when the officials may have people threatening to sue or whatever..

This protest reminds me of a story.... A Democrat camapign rally had thousands upon thousands of supporters while the Republicans rally had a mere 100 people. When the Republican candidate was asked where were all of his supporters, he simply said, "At work."


Those "Democrats" are kinda like Mondays... Nobody really likes them, we just tolerate them.

Lets see Baton Rouge had one of the best school districts in the state then NAACP sued for better schools. They won their case. Now school district is in horrible shape.

North Baton Rouge use to be a growing community when I was coming up.
Now all you see is empty buildings where businesses moved away.

Now they want to make changes to contraband days.
