Rat-L-Trap

I have an opportunity to buy 3" 1/2 oz. floating Rat-L-Traps in bulk. I'm talkin' 500 blanks. Before I commit, are there any of you guys that would be interested in custom-painted Rats @ $4 each? Because of shipping charges, there will be a 5 lure minimum. I can ship 5 as cheap as 1. I will paint them in any pattern you want.....or, try my best to do so. PM me if interested so I can get some idea of numbers.

IMO, floaters give you more options. You can fish 'em really skinny alot easier than a sinker. Same noise.

How deep do they run?

Im interested... How deep they run?? I've heard good things In saltwater with rattles

Depends on the size (weight), rod position and the speed of retreive. I would say about 4' with a 1/2 oz. Trap and a normal retreive. Catching redfish on these things is what got me hooked on saltwater fishing.

I was just at Academy and the rattle traps were $4.09, so sounds like a great deal for some hand painted stuff.

I don't do this for a living. If the time that I spend on these lures was worth anything at all.....my family would be on Welfare. ;) I love creating patterns (some by accident) and seeing the finished product. It's all about offering you guys a quality custom-painted lure at a very reasonable price. If I happen to recoup the money it cost me...that is payment enough. Like my wife says, "Time ain't nothin' to a turtle."

This $4 price includes any tri-color pattern you can dream up. Now, the detailed stuff like the gills, punkinseeds, croaker, trout and threadfin, etc......that's bordering on too much sugar for a dime.

Salty, If you do it, I will take 10 painted like a pogie as best you can. Thinking maybe Black back, pearl body, with chartreuse belly and a big 'ole spot on the tail.

The floating traps can be 'slow rolled' over oysters and shell and a flounder cannot stand them either - and yes, they definitely call in the reds. If they float up too quick, just add a bigger tail hook.

I do gold and silver but they're not metallic. Metallic paints do not shoot very good through an airbrush unless you use a super large tip and needle. Then, you lose it's fine detailing capabilities.
