Mitchell Guist RIP!

According to the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, one of the stars from the History Channel's show "Swamp People" died Monday morning.
According to Sheriff Waguespack, Mitchell Guist was loading something onto a boat around 9 a.m. in St. Martin Parish along the Belle River when he slipped and fell.
The Sheriff says it appeared he had some sort of seizure, but it is uncertain if the seizure was caused from the fall or something else health related.
Guist was taken to Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City where he was pronounced dead.
Officials will have to wait until an autopsy is performed before an official cause of death can be announced.

I've been watching it religiously for 2 years, have my DVR set up for 11:00pm on Thursday nights. I am pretty sure we are way behind you guys though as last week it was the show after the tropical storm passed through, RJ and Jay Paul had to go way up river for some gators and Liz lost most her gear under water but did get Lee the king of gators. Love the show :D

Crawdaddct 05-15-2012 11:00 AM

RIP. Mitchell and his brother remind me of my wife's cousins. Good people who live with what the good lord gives them. I'm sure he is in heaven and Jesus is serving him a big plate of Sauce Piquant.

dana1969 05-19-2012 10:35 PM

Not millionaires but good people none the less. My wife spent summers with her cousins and used to play with them as children. Their looks don't show the kindness each has for others.
