CAMP CANARD 05-14-2012 04:19 PM

Topwater Beach Trout. They gotta be a different species as hard as they hit the bait.

SaltyShaw 05-14-2012 04:25 PM

bgizzle 05-14-2012 07:41 PM

Topwater blowups fasho! But it sucks when they smash it n run straight to the boat and I can't catch em then spit the hook n you know they were big cuz you saw em come out the water.(happened to me a week ago) #2 when you not paying attention while working a plastic and when you least expect it your rod is trying to be ripped from your hand and the head shakes begin.... Blood pumping adrenaline rush son

bull1134 05-14-2012 08:44 PM

I like being on the water away from everyone and everything, and all of a sudden you feel that hit, or see that explosion on your bait, and then you got em (hopefully). then watching someone run right up on your spot, and the look on his face when you troll up to him and start peeing right beside his boat...beware potlickers...I'm out there.

LMAO!!!

The other day in Grand Isle I told a dude that he just ran up on the exact spot where I was catching the fish( he pulled up about casting distance from me with his big motor). Then I told him next time just ask me and I'll let you fish out of my boat..... then I cut figure eights around him:p(not really)

fishinpox 05-14-2012 09:44 PM

X2
While wading the surf & fighting the waves. It's a more of a challenge!

simplepeddler 05-15-2012 08:18 AM

eating them

Top Dawg 05-15-2012 08:27 AM

I like the slurp sound the big ones make when they suck a top water plug under. Bait just kinda disappears into a hole in the lake.

My kind of fisherman

Big Kahunaz 05-15-2012 08:43 AM

I like the first ice ice ice cold beer after wearing out from slinging trout with the hot azz summer sun beating down on ya. Other than that the rush u get from being doubled over her shooting towards the trolling motor then dashing toward the back of the boat then making a dive under and praying to get the pig in the net without her spitting the hook. The

Watching Huey reel em in, eyes big as silver dollars.....and that amazing way he looks at me when he gets it in the boat......
Then watching him tell the stories to his mom when we get back......

I can but I can't.... Wait I'll my son is old enough to fish with me!

Frank Buck 05-15-2012 09:38 AM

I love finding a spot on anchor, when the trout are in a frenzy, irregardless of the lure and watch the kids that I have on my boat when you have to help them not get the rod pulled in the water...and my wife too....I get more joy out of putting kids and people that have never experienced it before on a good trout bite. I wasn't always that way but have evolved a little...Watching my wife, my kids and especially my Dad get bit and fight a fish is worth it all to me...Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the man trips myself, but listening to the kids and people that have not had the experiences I had, talk about it is pretty dog gone fun. Hope I don't get my man card pulled, but that is just me....

That's what does it for me as well!

buoy37 05-15-2012 02:11 PM

The head shake followed by pulling drag - you know its a good one

Flipping them in the boat

When you roll up and can hear them feeding ** SMACK** ** SMACK**

Crimping down the hook barbs and tearing their arses up under birds

justwant2fish 05-15-2012 09:58 PM

Watching my wife outfish me and hearing that drag just go with that rattling of the fish breaking water with thrashing motion......my daughter saying look dad its a big yellowmouth.....that does it for me.
