Coming up and getting kicked off on the 26th with the shootout to follow. Haven't lived here nor been able to fish th STAR since 09 so I'm pretty stoked about this year.

So my question is what is it gonna take to win it? I'll give 100 bucks via PayPal to the first person to post the actual winning weight in ounces...not tenths

2004 was a hefty.... year sevens were like catching 4's. I had several friends put 9's on the wall that year and 2 during the star with one taking home the boat for the division. Unfortunately i spent more time chasing the wrong tail those years than on the water.

As far as big lake is concerned....I feel that the winner will be caught in the first 30 days of the tournament. It's hard to run across an 8.8 and up in the heat of summer....but i know they're out there. Hopefully something huge will surface and big lake will take home the overall winner. If you look in the past (before #'s were changed) the star had 2 splits. First split had the bigger fish with the second split being 6-12 oz lighter.

Andrew meche ....i think he's on here but i could be mistaken...won a truck for tagged red. 2010?

My mom has caught a tagged red and won the women's division. She got a boat for both.

That's quite the feat! Congrats to her!

I got my wife on that mission this year. If she can take it overall ....more power to her but i'd simply just like her to win the cruise...:smokin:

Look at 2000, 2001 I guess someone's dog ate the final weight results, then 2002-2008 u will see (for the west) that the bigger fish are 95% caught in the first month of the tourney even when they had 3 splits it gives u further detail.
