I posted this on duckhunter.net, but wanted to see what ya'll thought too.

I watched this show for about 2.5 hours the other night on A&E. It really sucked me in. I know a lot of the scenes are staged, but it really had me entertained.

Some random thoughts:
I think Uncle Si and Jase are my favorite characters. Si has some good sayings, funny with words. Jase is really funny. Guy knows how to get at his brother.

They seem to be hell bent on being everything redneck. Dress and attire, Mud riding, constantly gloating about Redneck mentality (staged or not?)

They blow through money seemingly unwisely. Buying a vineyard, Buying $2,000 goats, making a conveyor belt, Jase building an office and then his brother tearing it down and using it for a goat pen..... Then again I don't have as much money as they do, so how much can I really say

Phil and Si seem like a meat and potatoes type of men. All about the basics of life. Food, ducks, guns, the Lord.....The boys, not so much

They pray before every meal. I like it a bunch.

You can tell they are all about family. I like this too.

I hope they aren't sacrificing their good character and their real personalities to get ratings on A&E. That would be ashamed.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the show? Thought this would be the appropriate place to bring the banter.

This is wholesome reality tv that is just trying to reverse everything jersey shore has done to destroy this country. I love it.

I like it more then swamp people actually. Only reason I watch it is for si.. He's hilarious jack

I have not watched one episode so i shall set the tivo for a season pass and catch up!

i will say i did watch the duck commander series which came on right before duck season...i used to get so pumped...ready for sept....yeah!!!

Its hard to get me to laugh. Si and Jace crack me up! Love duck dynasty.

Si,an that dude got some shi* with him, deffinantly the funiest one on the show...

I think the best one was him grilling. I dont even think he knew what he was saying. And when he was telling the story about petting the little dog and when he looked down it was a 4 1/2lb squirrel haha

I been watching these dudes since the first duckman video came out. I have met them on several occasions. I don't believe it's staged one bit. Just good god fearing rednecks being good god fearing rednecks. Jack!

I think a few things were staged, the camper for a duckblind where there is no water, the office being built in 24 hours, no way.

Other than a few staged events I think its a good show, I'm with yall I like Si the best but I don't think that cup has been to Nam.

HEY, Looky here. This trapper has got a wolverine in the trap. And he shoots this wolverine in the head. Well unbeknown to him, there's a baby wolverine watchin this. That baby wolverine grows up, and declares war on this sucker.

What about the episode when phil's grand daughters talked si into letting them dress him up as a woman.

I can talk about this show all day long. The other night when jase and si were turkey hunting. Jase told si i'll take the one on the left and si said your left or my left. Jase said what? Your left and my left.

Si is the daddy. It's funny cuz that's how he really is. On one of there huntin DVDs jase blames si for shooting the wrong duck or jumpin up too soon and si goes off it's funny.

yeah the argue all the time on their dvd's.

I'm sure A&E stages some things which is what networks do right but I think they just react naturally to the situation given. Best show on TV IMO. Can't wait for season 2!

That was my favorite episode. It was priceless seeing the looks on the kid's faces during Si's story.

I agree that Si and Jase are the funniest guys on the show.

My son came over last week. He wanted to watch Duck Dynasty. I had never watched it. Now I am hooked also. I am like most on this site. I like Si the best. That guy is funny. He has some good metaphors.

You know the show is a good one when they don't do the politically correct thing. One episode they showed Phil actually cleaning the frogs. Actually showed him cut the head off and rip the skin off. If you can't like the show after that, you are on the wrong website right now.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that. I also thought it won't belong before PETA sticks there nose in it.

or fileting a freaking carp on the ice chests on the side of the road. ice chest all covered in blood. i think i would rather eat a big nasty before i ate a carp.

I love it! They actually show good things in life like prayer and family...

My wife bought me a blue cup to drink my sweet tea from! LOL! I about fell over when she met me at the door with it last night!

lol!!!! I can't really laugh i have a favorite cup i drink out of at the house.

Hands down, my favorite show on television!
