Check out the link and see what part of the state has the biggest trout each year.

It shows 2000- 2011

East won 2 times ....one by 1oz...

closer now after the 15 limit change...in a few years East might start winning a few titles

PUREBAY2200 06-15-2012 07:50 PM

Somehow I knew u would have time.... But with ur recent analysis of statistics and numbers I would feel better if math geek gave some results.....

chasin'tail 06-15-2012 08:11 PM

Caught some big trout on artifical, but the biggest have come to eat the big mullet. Sorry I don't care about art. vs live. I like to catch big fish when I go, big live mullet is the easy ticket to a big trout. But you still have to find the big trout. If not you only catch 2-4lbers, what a waste of one's time....hehehehe.

Numbers don't lie..just look how much the weights fell off our trout after 2006-2011 vs 2000-2006

This is due to the 15 limit trout change ...

What IF.......it was due to the weir being out of commission after Rita, saltwater intrusion begins to convert the freshwater marsh to saltwater tolerant species of plants, and the effects took a year or two to show:eek: It could just be Bush's fault though

Keep it clean guys or this will end up in the gill net with infractions. No personal attacks.

That comment is completely false; 90% of people who fish the causeway only use artificial.... Possibly bc there is no live bait near to buy.
I have never used live bait or been on a boat that used live bait on the causeway. Not trying to b an " elitist" just fact.

Now the trestles, hwy 11 and l&n bridge is different.
I have thrown live bait there maybe 25% of the time.
Those launches have bait shops and when bait is available , the majority of people will use it.
But it's only available 3-4 months..... So the other months is all plastic.
