YellowMouth7 06-21-2012 03:26 PM

If i could go i would

Armand16 06-21-2012 03:28 PM

I passed by it tues and it looked horrible. Even tough the wind will be NE I think it will need more time to settle and clean up. But I'll prob go anyway.

The Cheniere/ wounded warrior tournament will be going on. Weigh in on the west end of Johnson Bayou at mile marker 7. We will be accepting entries until 4 pm. Know this is not the norm but all money is going to Wounded warriors so we are letting this slide this year. if your interested in fishing it give me a call for more info at 337)884-6466

fishingonewild 06-22-2012 09:40 AM

Specdreams6 06-22-2012 09:50 AM

No caught them bout 100 yards off that weir..

fishingonewild 06-22-2012 09:59 AM

ah yea there a reef tha is usually close to 100 to 200 yard away from one of the weirs. good fishing spot during sept and oct. im dying to go to holly beach but the damn winds been giving hell lately even the storms popping up near the coastline... looks like im gonna wait this out untill prolly august or sept. unless the winds dies down for a good while to have clear water and the specks are on fire then im hauling *** down there.

Top Dawg 06-22-2012 02:18 PM

I'm sure it's muddier round mermantau than west of Cameron jetties. NE wind should not be terrible towards Johnson bayou hopefully by tomorrow

SULPHITE 06-22-2012 02:22 PM

jchief 06-22-2012 03:46 PM

He didn't fish. He works down there.

bluewing 06-22-2012 03:47 PM

Beach report. 3 specs in the morning . Water is pretty along the jetties . By the beach is dirty.

Likeuhboss 06-22-2012 04:36 PM

Wish I was off this wknd to make it down there...

fishingonewild 06-22-2012 05:36 PM

just three... ur talking abt the jetties in cameron or the jetties along the shoreline past holly beach cux tha where were mostly talking abt is the ones tha are along the shoreline right after holly beach heading toward to johson bayou. man im having a hard time thinking if i sud take a chance on going way out there from lafayette but if just three its making me pace back and forth thinking sud i go or sud i not go. i pretty much rather go and catch over 15 or so than just 3 lol.

noodle creek 06-22-2012 05:38 PM

Cody you going in the morning? I'ma prob drive down there

SpeckleBUTTCHEEKS 06-22-2012 05:53 PM

Got to Mayes Beach this afternoon around 4:45 and the water looked like espresso... fished for a minute w/ no luck. Water looked horrible all up and down hwy 82.... gonna take few more days 2 get clean.

SpeckleBUTTCHEEKS 06-22-2012 05:56 PM

also, surf is full of sea weed.... made fishing top water nearly impossible.

SULPHITE 06-22-2012 06:10 PM

I was told water is stained...small rollers.
