lavocat 07-05-2012 10:00 AM

I'm drinking the apple pie one straight from the jar. It's almost like you're not drinking liquor.

I cut it with water. Towwwww me up

marshrunner757 07-05-2012 04:11 PM

Apple pie moonshine is only mixed to 40 proof. No need to cut. The cherry is initially 100 proof. After cherry macerate the proof has dropped to 50 proof. Plus or minus.

Likeuhboss 07-05-2012 04:34 PM

The blueberry we had was 100 proof

Top Dawg 07-05-2012 05:43 PM

Mines isn't flavored. Straight 100 proof lightning.

Where can I find that?

eman 07-05-2012 07:10 PM

couple of apples .3 cinnamon sticks and a cup of brown sugar .and you can make 100 proof apple pie shine.

FF_T_Warren 07-05-2012 07:33 PM

Do tell

Top Dawg 07-05-2012 08:04 PM

I really don't know where to get it around here. My uncle got it for me in Tennessee for Christmas. Maybe you can order it off the net.

eman 07-05-2012 08:51 PM

1 red apple .quartered. 1 green apple quartered. 3 cinnamon sticks 1 cup brown sugar .
Put everything in Qt of shine or good vodka. shake till sugar dissolves. shake twice a day for 3 days. on forth day remove cinnamon sticks. shake once a day for 7 days . after the 10th day remove apples and enjoy

eman 07-05-2012 08:52 PM

last batch i made was a Qt. of uncut .To strong to drink but great for cooking .

marshrunner757 07-05-2012 09:12 PM

Walmart has it. Or if you know someone running a still, buy some shine and make yourself. There are recipes online. Apple juice, apple cider, a little brown sugar and cinnamon sticks. Yes, you can use vodka, but nothing beats home brew.

FF_T_Warren 07-06-2012 03:41 AM

oh I know how to make apple pie shine. made some way better than ole smoky. I thought you were making some out of just the apples and stuff without adding alcohol to it.

eman 07-06-2012 05:43 AM

Uhhh Only W or Chuck norris could do that.

You gave me this recipe a while back. I use it often, but I leave the apples in it. Sometimes I just remove an apple slice and eat it. Good stuff.
Sour apple is good too.I use green apple slices and about 15 green apple jolly ranchers per pint. Shake every day till desolved. Age about a month and sip away.

Ratdog 07-06-2012 06:14 PM

make your own

honkypig 07-06-2012 10:13 PM

i just saw some today at the sam's in lake charles.

Deerfarmer 07-14-2012 03:31 PM

Just got back from Gattlinburg, Tenn. I tried 10 different flavors at the distillery. The apple pie, and the Blackberry were the best IMO. The blueberry was good also. I bought the apple pie and the blackberry. Gonna have some tonight. The White Lightning, Moonshine, and Cherry are 100 proof. All the other flavors are 40. All good stuff.
