Calcasieu Marsh Kayak Trip
 

Made an afternoon trip yesterday to do some scouting for the Salty Cajun Tournament next weekend. I was able to get on them once the Tide started falling and caught all fish on Top. It was my 1st Solo yak trip but def one I won't forget! I can only hope to have the same turn out for Aug 4th!! Hope to see plenty Kayakers at the Tournament. Thanks SC for adding a Yak Division!!

Yeah i hope we have good weather but ive been fishing everyday in this nasty stuff to get ready

They will be. no reason for them to leave unless you got team dyfunctional in the area.... hear they like to dive outta the yaks for em lol. Awesome that you could find em that thick in just one trip!!!! once this tourney is done we need to get all the participants together one day and go slaughter em for fun!!!!!!! wouldnt mind hanging out with yall outside of the tournament.

Sounds like a great plan! And we are starting this yak club so we will have tourneys and meetings.

We are goin to do it after the tourney so at the tourney when all the yakers are together we can discuss things... And ive been Talking to casey about some options... Its just gonna take a lil time. We will all talk about it at the tourney

Yeah Man, It was a Great Solo Trip. I am 100% down with getting the yak crew together to crush the coast. We can Discuss further at the Tourny.

yea i would love to take a trip east and fish those marshes. Would be a lot of fun.

How long was that 7lber daily?

man I wish i had time to go scout.... this weather and influx of water is brutal. my initial spot may be a waste come august 4th.... caught a 12lb, 7lb, and 5lb in an hour there last year.... 12lb was over 30 though and micah was on a 10 minute sleigh ride lol

She was 25.5 inches and the other two hogs were about 24..
