Quick White Oak trip
Fished a couple of hours this afternoon just South of the landing... Two dinky dinks... Threw jigs, creatures, spinner baits, and a buzz bait when it was still raining...
Went from fallen timber, drains, alligator grass, lilly pads and beneath the trees (which claimed on of my favorite jigs due to the cantaloupe size red wasp nest above it)... Water was mucked up and not moving, drains werent even flowing  ??? That's why they call it fishing !!! Hydro |
Don't let those wasp take your bait from ya. Get in there and get it. Just call me first so I can come video it. :-)

With a stump jumper ? |
Yep, first time fishing out there, so didn't expect to do much. Grew up catching Marsh bass down on hypolyte Coulee, so this river fishing is new to me.

I had just launched and was parking my truck (silver F-250) when you were picking up !!! That is some kind of stump jumper/jackplate on your rig ! Where is the Hypolyte Coulee ? |
Ah yeah, OK cool. Lmao, yeah, when my uncle bought the boat for my PawPaw, oh, 16 or 17 years ago, he had that put on there. Hypolyte is south of lake Charles, flows into black bayou. Used to be real good bass fishing before the storms.

If it was being pulled by a Nissan frontier with mcneese alumni sticker on the back window, then yeah, that was it.

So I take it that is something uncommon for so many people to notice it? Lol

You got a pic of this thing because jackplates are very common and you must have one worth seeing

The Guy that made that set up is from here. Can't remember who it was now, its on the jackplate, but I think his son or grandson runs it now. My stepbrother knows the Guy.

You should be able to throw a rooster tail with that motor so far back.

Well she's got some years on her. Been rebuilding her bit by bit this summer. Today was the first time all summer that something hasn't gone wrong. Had the starter rebuilt, replaced half the fuel system, and had to get the prop fixed cause I spun it last Sunday.
