Any water left in Vermilion Bay?
 

Looks like the wind blew the water out of the bay.

Might be a good flushing and bring salty green water in and we will catch alb trout all fall... Am i dreaming

Went to the point this morning at about 10 am. It was low. The Patout landing was almost completely dry. I can't post the pics. Cox cable is out here. Quintana canal had 20 ft of mud bank exposed. Very wierd.

I know the vermillion river in Abbeville don't have much water left in it so I bet the bay is the same way with this strong north wind we have been having all day

Is there any damages down there? I have a camp right down the road from where you took that picture. I boarded up the camp but you never know what can happen.

its already came up 4.5' today! Its at an average low tide height right now

I bet that is one heck of a current in the SW Pass.

Haha I would of likes to see it going out! The waves would have been massive at the end of the pass.

I noticed that the salinity levels are very low as compared to pre-Issac. Might take a while for the waters to get right again....

what is the website you guys use to check salinity in v.b.

and

is there an i-phone app that i can download to check the salinity level in v.b.

Go to waterdata.usgs.gov click on LA and then find the Crypremort Point monitor.

Salinity is rebounding already...back to 6.4.

Went to the camp today to check it out, and there is very little to no damage at the Point at all.

Hope all the shrimp have not been washed OU to the gulf

I went down to Grand Isle last weekend and caught a few. Tough fishing with the wind before the storm but caught around 30-40. I just hope the island didn't sustain too much damage.

Hopefully this means things will turn around in the bay
