Just wondering if anyone knew if the refuge was open back up again, I was thinking bout making a trip in the am to Grand Chenier.

Yea , I had also heard this too but you talkin bout joesphs harbor huh, they had closed price lake rd down cause of the hurricane but it should be open now, just don't want to ride out there for nothing.

Heard the state continues to have contractor troubles down there. Why does the state do business with these type contractors that can't get the job done on time.

Joseph's Harbor is supposed to be open Sept 17th, that is what I was told when I called Friday afternoon.

Hope they get job DONE by Sept. 17th!!! No more PROCRASTINATION - Its projects procrastination led the projects to be LATE within 6 months for Rockefella Locks (Big Iron Gate) and 4 months for Joesph Harbor. The State needs to be RESOLVED the problem with its contractors.

I passed Friday morning in front of Joesphs harbor and workers were just standing around talking around a pick up truck, passed about 4 hrs later and looked like they had never moved, still standing around truck bs'ing.
