Kent Teal Steel Shells
 

Has anyone tried them yet....i picked up 5 boxes today...3" 1 1/4oz 5 shot..

They crush em....3" #6's are what we are shooting.;)

Damn thats some big shells for teal. I shoot low brass #7 out a 20 gauge and smoke them. Plus they are like 6 bucks a box versus 13 or 14

X2. All I have shot at teal the last 2 years.

They're free....so im not complaining. I shoot'em with duck loads in duck season....just gotta shoot'em in the face.....

10 4 on bein free, I would shoot em too. Or sell em lol. As far as big ducks, #6 will smoke a big duck with no problem. I use 2 3/4 but if I was given 3 inch I would shoot em too

I got a buddy of mine that only shoots 3 1/2 in during duck season....I asked him why....he said cause they don't make a 4"....lol:shaking::D

3" #6 TealSteel! I killed one at 65-70 yds trying to Be sneaky. He snuck into my freezer!!!

Naw they from the "west side" BL....and I agree...I'll shoot 3.5's for geese...but I shoot 3" #3's or #2's for ducks....This year will be shooting 3" Heavy Shot #3 freebies...

shootin 3" #6 RIO's this year. havent tried the teal steal but I've used Kent a lot in the past and had really good luck with em

I use RIO #4 a lot. Cabelas in Gonzales carries them. They are good shells.

also saw a nice group or two of Mexican black bellied squealing fulrverous whistling ducks

I shot some steel shot xpert 2 3/4 #7 dove and target loads this weekend and crushed them. I bout a case for under 50 bucks at walmart on hwy 14. I won't shoot anything else from now on for teal season.

no i'm serious i'll show you the box. It states on the box steel shot dove and target loads lead free shot. My dad bought a case and his neighbor did too. I shot one sunday at 20 yards and i had to breast that sucker it was shot up so bad.

i thought it was too when i first saw it. Went to the register and i paid $48 bucks for the whole case.

Thats cheap for some steal.

Like I said, the low brass #7 are a lot cheaper than a 3 inch magnum for a freakin blue wing

x2!!! I won't use anything else for teal. I'm shooting a imp cylinder with them also and it crushes them. I had 0 cripples all weekend. Every bird i shot was stone dead.

I had zero cripples too and I was shooting a 20 gauge. Then again, I waterswat a lot :)

That 7 1/2 steel will role a teal if you take legitimate shots that's what I shot the first two days and I'm pretty sure I was battin a thousand bc I didn't shoot a hole box between both days shot #4's yesterday it all went to hell yesterday and today lol

If you have to post an iphone snap shot to prove to everyone on a forum you shot a duck at 70 yds. you obviously havent shot many ducks in your day. Or just started hunting.

Whaaaat? They didn't believe me so I proved it. The thread is about the kent TealSteel so I was saying how I liked em and what remarkable distance they kill birds. A #6 at that far is saying something. "w" is that you? Not about me and how good I am and im 26 and been hunting ducks since 6 so if you call that just starting then yea I just started 20yrs ago

How is a picture of somebody's opinion proving anything. I can get somebody to text me i hit one at 120 yards and that is not a fact. I shoot kent Kent Faststeel 6's and I agee they are a very nice shell. 70 yards is the equivalent of standing on a goal line of a football field and shooting to the oposite 30 yard line. Go shoot a patternboard at 70 and see how tight that is. You also have to look at wind direction and the momentum it fell, a bird can fall 10 yards one direction after you hit it. Saying you killed a bird at 70 is way different than picking one up 70 yards

Fellas it can be done, i know a guy that will knock them out the stratospere with a 12 gauge shooting 3 inch #4's. Ask salteredneck he was with us one morning in grand chenier last season.
