NOPE!!!!!!

bay_slayer 10-04-2009 02:17 PM

It makes you more american!!! Most people dont even know where they came from!!

Jordan 10-04-2009 02:18 PM

Negative. It shows pride. Just like people liking lsu and the saints. I got a rebel flag tattoo on my right arm. Its draped over a cross. A little "colored" lady came up to me a while back calling me racist because of the tattoo. I kindly acknowledged her remark and kindly told her that if the cross was on fire then I would be racist. She shook my hand and told me it was a nice tattoo. So no I disagree !!!

Nope why? http://images2.layoutsparks.com/1/24...pect-pride.gif

im being called so on tigerdroppings for my purple and gold confederate flag.

The school colors are purple and gold. LSU's nickname is a throwback to its Confederate heritage and was drawn from the Civil War fame of two Louisiana brigades who fought so fiercely that they became known as the "Louisiana Tigers."

he claims that times have changed and thats not why we are the tigers anymore
and i am a close minded idiot

i dont see how that is an insult?
im glad to be closeminded and stand up for my beliefs

Red Devil 10-04-2009 02:27 PM

It's sad to say that these days, no matter your beliefs or pride, someone is going to try and squash it. Liberalism at it's finest. This country is in dire need of a serious wake up call. Hate to say it, but it's true.

yak'em-n-stack'em 10-04-2009 02:29 PM

yea they are all calling me out as a racist and bad fan, however some of them that said they were there wont say it to my face..... seems to me as someone is scared. if you cant say it to my face dont say it at all

Mediumheavyaction6'6 10-04-2009 02:37 PM

if those people knew how you really feel they would realize that flag is the least racist thing about you.

bay_slayer 10-04-2009 02:37 PM

Sounds like liberal talk to me

Jordan 10-04-2009 02:45 PM

Some people need to get a life. Is flying an american flag racist ??? Not to me !!! Flying a confederate flag ??? Nope !!! What's the big deal???

coachlaw 10-04-2009 07:08 PM

Ignorance is alive and well in the fact that this question is even being considered.

"All that the South has ever desired is that the Union set forth by our forefathers be preserved." - Robert Edward Lee

I had some training here at work last week and it was geared at this very subject. We were told that the Confederate flag was considered Racist and would not be allowed on the premises. I asked about the State flag of South Carolina. The instructor didn't have an answer. Go figure.

yak'em-n-stack'em 10-05-2009 04:21 PM

what about the state flag of ms?

coachlaw 10-05-2009 07:38 PM

These people need a big fat historic kick in the keester.

Ray 10-05-2009 07:39 PM

I have a co-worker who had to remove his Miss. state flag from his coveralls because it was offensive to another worker of color. That is not the American way. In my opinion.

yak'em-n-stack'em 10-05-2009 07:42 PM

i cant say how i really feel on this board, i dont think i can even say it in the gill net

but all i will say is that i hate the trash in all races, and i have a place for them to go

BIRD DOG 10-05-2009 08:14 PM

Rascist?

:pissed::pissed:Why is it that only White people can be rascist? Why is it that Whites are the only race that can't be proud of thier heritage?I am getting sick and tired of it!The only reason we even have this problem is b/c White people won't stick together when the subject comes up.Everybody is worried about being politically correct! The way I see it is I am racially aware, not a rascist. However,if loving my heritage and being proud of my race is rascist then guess what,Im rascist and proud of it!!!!:pissed:

BayouFX4 10-06-2009 06:26 PM

That's BS. It's ok for blacks to show their heritage with their brightly colored hats and robes, but we can't represent our heritage with a few flags? No one will censor my beliefs, nor the pride I have in what my ancestors fought for.

speck-chaser 10-06-2009 07:44 PM

its almost like saying the "n" word (which I do) If your not one then it shouldnt offend you. That word doesnt always mean color, cause there are plenty of white ones too. Its more about the way you act and your character. You can be red white yellow or black without being a N..... Its up to each individual to determine that.

SULPHITE 10-06-2009 08:04 PM

thats pretty crappy yakem about the ban for something like that....hate to see how long Roll Tide would last?????

Hopedale Hustler 10-07-2009 12:31 PM
