Specklebelly sighting
 

A guy i work with hunts in thornwell and he told me he went tuesday afternoon to pick up his decoys from teal season and had a flock of specks lit in the field next to him. He said they were close to the farm road and all they did was start walking away real slow. Now this is hear say, but i've heard of some other speck sightings being reported. Has anyone here seen or heard any geese coming down?

Not yet but it's time!

The front coming in this weekend should blow in a few on that north wind, can't wait.

I heard some fly over the House last Saturday. Have heard reports they are building West of Houston on the Prairie.

I'm goin in the morning to take teal blinds down and I'll drive around the area to see if they got any down. Last year they had a pile down around mid October

Hopefully we hear some this weekend in the squirrel woods!

I'm gonna talk to my brother-n-law this afternoon to see if they have some in lyons point.

Hunted Lacassine refuge Monday and saw about 20 fly over. Then seen a flock yesterday in Klondike area.

a buddy of mine called me earlier and said he saw a flock of about 30 pass over the store in kaplan this morning.

And in lacassine, it's only open Wednesday Thursday Saturday Sunday lol. He probably meant near the refuge and on last Monday

You would be surprised. We went scouting last year on a Monday and there was a group blasting away off the pipeline. :help:

I saw some off of I 10 earlier this week in the Jennings/Welsh area.

i haven't seen or heard any and i love to hear geese flying over at night especially. I love to sit outside at night when a front is coming and hear them flying over.

Its a good feeling when your sitting outside at night, first good cold front, fire going, cold beer, wild animal in the black pot, and hearing geese flying overhead.

no lie!!! Last year i was at my brother-n-laws in mid october in lyons point, and a field on the the hwy had about 5,000 specks in it and his house was in the flight pattern. We were outside cooking a rabbit and sausage jambalaya and it was non stop flights of specks coming over his house. It was amazing!

Well i was outside at work and seen my first specks they had 2 v's pass over and you could hear them suckers. Now i'm fired up!!!!!!!!!

I drove from hwy 90 to highway 14 via highway 99 and didn't see anything but becerosse

A freind of mine here at work that lives in hayes said this morning a flock of specks in the fog flew right over his house not even about telephone pole high. He said they were loud as hell and it sent chills down his back.

Awesome!!!!!!!

Seen a low flock of about 20 yesterday afternoon out here in Holmwood.

These 15 or so just flew by the house.

Saw little over 100 fly over farm around Bell City area on Monday evening... Talk about getting a little chubby all of a sudden!!! :dance:

Flock of 100 is definitely a chub starter.

Had 2 V's about a 100 birds fly over McNeese this morning, all snows heading west.
