T Shot?

I'm all about it for the Specks, I've used everything and am pretty hooked on the T especially for the long shot... Tons of variables here, but it works for me extremely well.

The point of this post is to see what y'all think, let's get the 2 cents flowin'.

specktator 11-20-2012 12:24 PM

3.5 BB or #2s is what I shoot. Hardly even see T available at places I buy shells.

PaulMyers 11-20-2012 12:24 PM

#2's

Goooh 11-20-2012 12:29 PM

3" T, forgot to add that.

SaltERedneck 11-20-2012 12:34 PM

3.5" 2's mostly... does the trick.

Top Dawg 11-20-2012 12:40 PM

3" 1s 2s

bgizzle 11-20-2012 12:44 PM

I shoot 3 #3 and I killed a speck opening day. Second try didn't knock a feather. And yesterday I missed another opp at 40yds I'd think but have been smacking ducks when it counts. I'm thinking of starting to shoot 3 1/2 #2

mequain 11-20-2012 12:45 PM

3" number 4s. I also only shoot a 20 gauge.

jsethl13 11-20-2012 12:48 PM

3" #2

I'd rather shoot this than T shot. I been shooting 3 inch 4s but started shooting 3 1/2 3s. That's a bad shell. If you can't kill em with that, probably shouldn't take the shot

jsethl13 11-20-2012 12:49 PM

Plus full choke and/or Pattern Master. Does the trip every time!

I agree, if you can't kill them with #4s you probably be shooting.

DUCKGOGETTER 11-20-2012 01:05 PM

3 in #2's with a full choke will fold them suckers great.

papap 11-20-2012 03:06 PM

Duck hunting I shoot 2 3/4" number 6s. For geese I will shoot 3" number 4 or 2s. The trick is calling.

bgizzle 11-20-2012 03:20 PM

That grey was with. Chris... 3" #3

Lake Chuck Duck 11-20-2012 03:21 PM

that was with #6's and a modified choke that morning and i hit that sucker you heard it when it hit just not enough power to knock it down. Not gonna lie that shot on that grey was nice, but i think it might of had a heart attack and died not from the shot. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys From 8,000 Of Deep Blu..Its 1-2 ft seas out here... I hunt geese mostly and I shot them all..

If anyone likes to waterfowl hunt fo t toa website called Nodak outdoors.. It's the largest waterfowl hunting website I know of..

Most of the guides in the Dakota's use this site.. I came across a custom choke maker.. Its called DRAKE KILLER..

Its custom made for UR guns barrel diameter. I had one made.. I'm shooting 3 1/2 BB @ geese 60-70 yds and killing them STONE DEAD...

The maker of this choke also patterns the best loads for this custom choke and will send U a list of size shells and make to get the best performance out of them..

I shoot Fiocchi when I can.. No need to shoot Black Cloud, Hyper-sonic etc.

Fiocchi has a waterfowl shell called Golden waterfowl, and golden goose.. They are hard to find.. But can be found on the internet..

3 1/2 #1 are also great for geese. I shot 3" #3 for large ducks and 3' # 6 for small duck or first light shooting..

JMHO..

Spunt Drag 11-20-2012 03:45 PM

LOL waiting on that one...

Goooh 11-20-2012 04:13 PM

X2, T is as close to 00 buck the warden will let me shoot.

If I bring the buck I leave the whiskey, and vice versa...

So how do those T's pattern on your "long shots"?

Goooh 11-20-2012 04:32 PM

Can't say, there's usually only one bb in the bird!

I like to lead the first one in a V pretty far, pull the trigger and watch the 5th or 6th one in the line fall, especially while I'm standing at the BBQ pit.

Bucoo 11-20-2012 04:38 PM

I like my #2s

duck enticer 11-20-2012 04:55 PM

Not enough pellets for me. White Lake rice field got me completely converted to #1's. Not enough time or predictability to switch out shells. Kill the quackers and geese.

Now that's what I'm talkin bout.

Armand16 11-20-2012 06:26 PM

Kent 3" #2 for ducks and geese

Riceland 11-20-2012 06:38 PM

BBB and T have both worked well giving me nice kills at longer ranges in a 10 ga. bps with long range patternmaster. The shells are reloads though, much better performance over commercial 10 ga. loads which aren't much better than 12 ga. 3 1/2" shells.

If you think I SKY BUST... I don't... Give me a call.. I've GOT ANY amount of CASH YOU NAME AND CAN MATCH.... I can out shot U any day of the week..

I may be only thirteen years old but I know birds that or 50 and 60 yards out are for sure not decoying birds. Henceforth, skybusting! Congrats on your professionlism!

jbert22 11-20-2012 07:05 PM

anybody who buys 3.5 blindside, golden, ect, most expensive shell is a skybuster. if you cant kill a duck or goose with a 3 inch mag you dont need to be shooting. PERIOD. the 3.5 inch T shot is what has killed the reserves. people thinking they can kill birds way outa range. dumb :pissed:

X2....i guess he also uses a 32" barrel thinking that it gives him more distance......

specktator 11-20-2012 07:59 PM

I call em so close I shoot 7 1/2s

2 3/4"

:smokin:

cmcnabb 11-20-2012 08:15 PM

Looks like a shoot off coming up. Today's challenge: call them in real close then scare them off to 80 yards and grab them suckas

First one to make em blink, then let me empty my gun on em, then they shoot, 1 shell, no cripples, fall to the ground dead.

SULPHITE 11-20-2012 11:55 PM

Hijack ended .... man asked a simple question a simple answer will suffice

Vermillionaire 11-21-2012 01:07 AM

3" hevi-shot B's or 2's through my extended range patternmaster turns specs into dish rags

Goooh 11-21-2012 06:02 AM

If all of you can call as good as you claim then why not just go with teal load? Whats the point of heavier, larger shot? Your so bada$$ you don't shoot until you can see them blinking right?

The skybusting was for laughs, but in reality moving to a BB or T opens you up for adjusting your max distance, and creates shots that you would have passed on or not have been able to fold them with lesser shots.

If everyone is so d*mn good at calling then why don't you post a limit every hunt? Geese fly every day all day... Just call them in and stack them like stove wood...

I appreciate the opinions, but labeling people and putting them down based on their choice of shell is pretty ignant.

• Because we're not on those 10k a year ricefield leases you mentioned in your other thread that you already have access to, but you're lookin for more.

•Be careful when you say this.

And in closing, it's the Internet. Who cares what people think, if shooting T shot blows your skirt up, then melt your barrel down shooting it.

mcjaredsandwich 11-21-2012 09:00 AM

Man! This thread went south!
