1.All Federal and State rules and regulations will apply. Violations will result in disqualification of the entire team.
2. A maximum of three (3) anglers per team. Entry fee is $25 per person, Kayak fisherman may fish in teams of (2) anglers but must fish in locations together at all times. Wade fisherman must not have more than (3) anglers per boat and have to maintain all together in your wading area.
3. Fishing hours will begin at safe boating hours on Feb. 16, 2013 and contestants must be in the weigh-in line at Calcasieu Point by 2:00PM. Any team not in line by 2PM will be disqualified. Weigh-in begins at 12:00PM and closes at 2:30PM.
4. All fish must be caught on a rod and reel. Live, dead and artifical bait/lures are acceptable.
5. No fish may be accepted from or given to another team.
6. Boat, Wade, or Kayak fishing are all permitted within the stated boundaries.
7. Heaviest LEGAL 2-Redfish stringer below 27” each will win.
8. Boundaries: Participants may fish anywhere in Lake Calcasieu or its tributaries, and Black Lake, and must be public waters. No fishing on private property allowed.
9. In case of a tie, total length of the 2 Redfish stringer will determine the winner.
10. All Weigh master’s rulings are FINAL
11. Organizers are not responsible for any accident or injury, nor loss, damage, or theft to any property.
12. There will be a cash payout equivalent to 60% of the entry fees for 1st place, 2nd place 30% and 3rd place 10%.
13. Pot winners will be announced at 3:00PM.
14. IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER, THIS EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED. IF FOR ANY REASON EVENT CANNOT BE HELD ALL ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED.
16. Participants can launch anywhere that they like as long as their payment is received before they launch the day of the tournament .
17. Everyone is welcome to fish the event

These rules were stolen from the last Saltycajun tournament and changes to reflect Redfish instead of Trout.

$10 side pot for BIG NASTY DRUM. The side pot is per fisherman, not per team. All side pot money will go to the fisherman with the biggest Black Drum caught on rod and reel. If no Black Drum are weighed in, the money will go to charity. If the weight is a tie, the longest of the two fish will be declared the winner. There will be only 1 winner.

Launch from any where you want, but the weigh in will be at Calcasieu Point.

Pay by Paypal, meeting night before or morning of at Calcasieu Point.

Too many ways to cheat if you have 3 in a boat, all weighing in different.
That one boat can get all 3 prizes, even if just one of them caught all the fish.

If its a team event it needs to be a set price per team like $50 per team

If its a Per Person that means each person should be able to weight in their own 2 redfish

Not trying to complicate it but I invited a guess because it was $25 per person which each person could weight in 2 reds as individual ?

But if its a team event that needs to be set price per team not person!

Because as per person one team can pay up to $75 and another only $50 and win the same amount of money !

It's the same rules that were for all the Salty Cajun tournaments.
