22LR bullets?

Anybody know where to find any?? LC and Sulphur are wiped out. Havent found much online either.

Jordan 01-08-2013 06:38 PM

Good Luck..... I have 10,000 rds. Been stocking up for some time now.

Montauk17 01-08-2013 06:41 PM

Insanity.....can't find any in lafayette and all online stores I checked are sold out. I am kicking myself for not stocking up

jlincecum 01-08-2013 06:47 PM

whats with the run on 22's though. never seen a shortage of them. guess i'll have to buy everything i can get my hands on when i do find some

Loneshark 01-08-2013 06:51 PM

I ordered 7,000 rounds from cabela's on Sunday and now think I should have ordered more.

I can't understand the reason they are sold out myself. Looking online people have had trouble finding them since June.

longsidelandry 01-08-2013 06:55 PM

I been looking everywhere also but can't find them either. I stop at Bass Pro every Sunday on my way home from the camp but they've been out, go to Academy 2-3 times a week (both locations in Laf) but nothing there either.

southern151 01-08-2013 07:01 PM

All they have is cheap target ammo

Beggars can't be choosers. Never really put too much worry into what type of .22 ammo I ran, as long as it shot. To me, its just a plinking gun.

Montauk17 01-08-2013 07:17 PM

Yeah but the CCI ammo is way more accurate...like you said though beggars cant be choosers. Crazy how hard it is to find the most common ammo.

mikedatiger 01-08-2013 07:23 PM

Can't find it bc it's cheap and bc of all the new "high cap" 22 rifles. High Cap anything = no findy

SULPHITE 01-08-2013 07:30 PM

paranoia

Kenner18 01-08-2013 07:38 PM

Ableammo.com has some still ...not much of a selection but its there .

speck-chaser 01-08-2013 07:39 PM

yep, anything that chambers into a rifle that has a magazine just about is gone. The armory, emailed me that they had some 223's in stock sunday morning. the email was at 8 am. Saw it at 9 am. immediately checked them out,and they had already sold out again. Price went from 479 per k to 799 per k. Went ahead and backordered some from cabelas. figured I could wait a bit for them, and if something pops up in between, I can get those too.:D

Finfeatherfur 01-08-2013 07:43 PM

This is crazy! The prices, the hoarding, the panic buying!

I hope I am right when I say, everyone needs to calm down and take a deep breath. Lets wait to see what they propose and I feel better since the NRA was invited to the discussion at the White House to see what will be proposed.

True but it is much easier to calm down and take that deep breath when your stocked up.

SULPHITE 01-08-2013 07:45 PM

i hope so too...

You are so right!

Finfeatherfur 01-08-2013 07:51 PM

I am sitting pretty for now and have no need to buy anymore at this time. What I do worry about may seem trivial, but it will be a big problem in most communities. As most of you know, I am part time PoPo and we are required to qualify for POST (state regulations). Most small departments are budgeted down to the penny for the entire year. These prices will have a very bad effect on every department.

We are required to qualify with our duty weapon, our backup, shotgun, and if you choose to carry one - your AR. Our purchasing agent bids out our ammo purchases and he is crying right now. Not good!

It is getting insane no doubt

I got an offer today for 100k rounds of 5.56. Bad part is, I have to pay for it up front with delivery in March. Not sure I can commit. It's a lot of $ to lay out and, a lot to be made...if the hype doesn't settle out. It would be my luck that they'd be back to $.36 per rd by the time I got it!

Picking up some next week for $.40 a round. It can still be found, but not easily.

Yeah. I figured it would be better to get in line now. They show the expected delivery at the end of the month.

I called them this morning seeing if they had any bulk CCI ammo and they said it was all spoken for and they could not keep up with updating the site. I bought 25 20 round boxes for my .270 from them thinking I should have bought 50. There is also a 3 week delay on shipping!

Loneshark 01-08-2013 09:41 PM

Believe it or not but I stopped by shooters after work and they had an AK for sale. The guy said they received 5 Ar's this morning and they were gone in five minutes.

speck-chaser 01-08-2013 09:46 PM

I had ordered a 22 online last week, the guy said he was out,but had a shipment coming in this monday. He emaied me this morning, and said he had just gotten some ar's in and wanted to know if I wanted one?. He said let me know ASAP. I told him I was good on ar's (for now). Im just wondering how long it took him to move them?

SULPHITE 01-08-2013 09:51 PM

i've got a question is this panic buying a sign that we give up? What can you do to prevent this from happening? Are we as crazy as the gun control advocates who jump and make rash decisions?

just a some thoughts

southern151 01-08-2013 09:53 PM

I think its a sign that people are pissed and arming themselves. More gun sales than ever before could easily send a message that people are willing to fight. Just a thought.

agreed...but is it going to stop them from pushing a ban through? What is the solution besides panic buying guns and ammo?

southern151 01-08-2013 10:06 PM

People, at this point, feel like they may come and take them. That's where the fight will start. Honestly, we may be looking at another 1994 type deal. Difference between then and now, internet is everywhere. Some are hitting the panic button. Some are preparing. Both situations are thanks to the web.

Just my opinion.

jlincecum 01-08-2013 10:07 PM

just found 16 525ct boxes of cheap remington online that werent there earlier and before i could get to the shopping cart they were gone

I hate to say it but it is nothing more than a wait and see.....If obama can pass his radical ideas without congress what good does it do for the general population try to speak out to their local representatives. I think it has came down to doing what you have to do to protect yourself and family in these uncertain times we a living it.

SULPHITE 01-08-2013 10:10 PM

no doubt the amount of coverage. Again they aren't going to take them...that will happen waaay down the road I believe....IF...they get this ban passed. Thats the problem its "get what I can and just hold on"...they need to be stopped. PERIOD. Any inch you give will result in a mile soon enough.

Loneshark 01-08-2013 10:10 PM
