Crawfish?

How's is this season looking this year? What is the price right now? Gotta craving here in Pensacola, and wondering when I should call my Crawfish man for a delivery.

geoleo 01-18-2013 12:51 PM

Average price 2.25 per pound, medium size! Alot of crawfish ponds got flooded after all that rain. Price might go down if catches go up alot!

There is a web-site for prices:
http://www.thecrawfishguy.com/Public...awfish_v2.aspx

Diesel is $3.62 without tax (wholesale) Milk is $5 a gallon! everything a crawfisherman uses, bait, fuel, parts, even crawfish sacks has gone up,up, up!
If crawfish would drop to $25 a sack, it would be like Gas selling for $1 a gallon and a barrel of oil costing $95! NO PROFIT!
Remember one thing, people are willing to pay $60,000 for a new truck, when crawfish were $25 a sack were people paying that much for a truck!
It is a sign of the new times, everything cost alot and it sucks!!!!!

meaux fishing 01-19-2013 11:14 AM

There is a crawfish guy app too

6-800 Sacks a day......
That's 21,000-28,000 pounds a day at $1.25 a pound = $26,250 to $35,000 a day.

In a week he's loosing $183,750 to $245,000
